“I was flying solo this weekend and wanted a nice dinner and experience! Kruse's Deer Lake Inn did not disappoint. I chose from the Flavors of Fall on the menu (pick two) 😋 The stuffed shrimp was prepared perfectly (tender), and the baked shrimp and scallops were delicious. The pilaf pleasantly surprised me and was very good (pilaf is something I would have never ordered but it was the side for the pick two). I also had a Martha's Vineyard salad add tomatoes (not pictured)! I look forward to stopping in again soon!“

“My husband and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Parker’s Hilltop Brewery, and it was absolutely fantastic! We worked with Kara, who helped us book the private room and coordinate our food selections. We had pizzas, mostacholi, rolls, and salad, and everything tasted incredible—our guests were very satisfied as well. Kara was extremely responsive and wonderful to work with, answering all of my questions and making the process seamless. The service during our dinner was excellent, and we have also dined at Parker’s Hilltop before and are never disappointed. I highly recommend this brewery for any dining experience—the food, service, and atmosphere are always top-notch!“

“They are great for last minute planning such as funerals (we had my dad's funeral luncheon there). Food was excellent, service exceptional and priced fair! I would definitely go again for a luncheon (Hopefully not too soon) or go to just enjoy a dinner with my family!“

“We had a great first experience at Live Bait / Goomah—two restaurants in one, with the option to order from both menus. Live Bait focuses on seafood, while Goomah offers Italian fare, which makes for a fun and flexible dining experience.

We started with East Coast oysters, which were super fresh and clean. For mains, we ordered the lobster roll and the snapper—both from the Live Bait menu. The snapper was likely cooked just as intended (in a 500° oven), but the texture wasn’t quite what we personally prefer. The chef came out to check in, was extremely friendly, and offered to swap it for the grouper with caper sauce (also from Live Bait), which was incredible—we’d absolutely order that again. The lobster roll was also excellent.

Our server Lexi was fantastic—she was bartending and covering our section solo, and still gave amazing service. Drinks were great, and everything felt relaxed but professional.

Highly recommend this spot for fresh seafood, attentive service, and a unique dual-menu concept. We’ll definitely be back!“

“Its a small establishment but personally I think it's best Blk. owned/operated Soul food restaurant in town. Catering ? Shaun ( the owner ) will hook you up no matter the occasion. Plus Charlie S&S has been around for years so that should tell you something!!!“

“Ordered from this place for the first time today. Very impressed! I got the 10 piece shrimp with fries and a Mountain Dew! The shrimp were big, juicy and succulent! The fries were very tasty too! Portions were perfect as well! Will be back!“

“It's the go to spot (in the area) for fried foods! My go to order is the chicken strip combo meal. They serve up a nice generous portion of chicken strips with the optional lemon pepper seasoning added on at the end which is awesomely delicious. The combo meal comes with bread and a pop......I always get an order of friend corn to go with it as well----its the absolute chronic.The jalapeno poppers are on point too.Legend has it you can use a bridge card here......you buy they fry.?“

“For takeout they're hard to beat. Good prices. The spice level you'd swear they're rolling dice blindfolded, but usually i'll get one mild and one medium. Mixing them together helps get the level right.

I'd also encourage sitting down, having a beer, and ordering some more appetizers some time. The inside seating has a great atmosphere and it's usually not busy.“

The lemon pepper powder on the fries and chicken gives it a nice kick the ranch they can either provide you with or you ask for it gose bomb with this chicken I'd recommend this place 100% Goodluck. since this will knock you out with flavor!“

“Was there with about 10 of my family members for a Buffalo Bills game ..... yes I know a Bills game in Detroit... We ordered darn near all of the appetizers and a chicken pizza during the game and they were great. Drinks were great. David ... who handles it all was awesome. I hope the changes they have made make this places succeed.“
