Great Seafood Boil Experience
We found this restaurant completely by chance through Google and its reviews, and I'm happy to say the reviewers were absolutely right. Thank you to everyone who took the time to leave honest feedback—it helped us discover a great place!
Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos because my hands were covered in seafood boil, but the food and experience were memorable enough to write about.
What I liked most was the food and the staff. The seafood boil was delicious, and I appreciated being able to customize it exactly how I wanted. The prices were reasonable, and the restaurant was clean with well-maintained tables, plenty of napkins, and all the tools needed to crack open lobster and other shellfish. They also serve alcoholic beverages, which is a nice bonus. Another great feature is that they offer menu items beyond seafood boils, making it a good choice for people in your group who may not be seafood fans.
One minor issue had nothing to do with the restaurant itself. Another customer was having a conversation on speakerphone, which was a little annoying. Unfortunately, you can't control inconsiderate people. On the positive side, there is a large parking lot with plenty of spaces available.
As for the negatives, I would skip the appetizers. The crab rangoon and egg rolls were not very good and were easily the weakest part of the meal. The parking lot is also a little rough and could use some attention.
One piece of advice: try to visit during off-peak hours, especially on weekends. The restaurant gets extremely busy. I would personally choose a weekday visit next time.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The excellent seafood, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and clean environment made for a great experience. The appetizers kept it from being a perfect score, but it's still a solid 4 out of 5 stars.“

It has been our “Go to” restaurant for birthdays and anniversaries for many years, except the disappointment of our absence during the repairs caused by the fire. The food is excellent, the service superb. This time, however, we went to celebrate a very special event. We had no intention of disclosing the purpose, except to tell them it was a very special event. The hostess that seated us, got my wife to disclose the event. Before we knew it, the Manager, Eric, came to our table, expressing congratulations, etc. Several others, some we knew, and others we did not, also came to our table to express their congratulations. Eric then returned a second time, with more kind words. “We had my daughter’s surprise birthday dinner at A plus yesterday. The staff did a wonderful job accommodating our needs including early seating for our several family members who traveled from across state. Our server was wonderful and did a great job taking orders for separate bills. Our food was quick, correct and absolutely delicious. This restaurant is a family favorite for us. It’s the best seafood in Michigan. We always look forward to our visits and will continue to come here for all of our celebrations. “Phenomenal food. Was looking for a restaurant and so glad I lucked out choosing this one. When I arrived immediately received a large loaf of bread with the table. The flounder, coconut milk rice, and Granada were 10/10. Don't get me started on the desserts, the butter cake was 11/10 and the cobbler just as outstanding. Stuff mushroom, just another home run. The staff were attentive with great recommendations. Chamomile tea paired well with all of this. The pizza was also some of the best pizza I ever had. I don't often come to this area but I will be making the drive for this place. Highly recommended. Nice place, with an outdoor dining area. This place is perfect for dating. Prices were surprisedly less than I would expect for such amazing food.“

“The Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill was amazing. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The vibes were upscale and elegant. Each table had a real candle lit on it. The food was delicious. The egg rolls and Calamari are good.

I ordered a medium Coffee Cured Filet Mignon with Broccoli. My husband ordered the shrimp and scallops potatoes. The son ordered the Steak Frites with Fries very flavorful. My son said it was the best steak he every had. My mom ordered the bone in Cowboy cut Ribeye.

The house bread is so delicious. They put lots of love and attention to the details of every bite. I highly recommend Stoney River for a nice outing for a date or family.“

“Was my first time in Churchill’s yesterday, 03/28. Had no idea what to expect, never understood the purpose of the cigar. With that being said, I cannot wait to go back. Our waiter was great, the old fashioned was amazing and that cigar…now I get it!! So relaxing, great atmosphere and with a great tour guide who was also celebrating his birthday. I had the California burrito and asked to add cilantro and had no issues, in fact the person taking the order loaded me up with additional toppings and sauces that the burrito was filling enough for 2 meals. We worked with Kara, who helped us book the private room and coordinate our food selections. We had pizzas, mostacholi, rolls, and salad, and everything tasted incredible—our guests were very satisfied as well. Kara was extremely responsive and wonderful to work with, answering all of my questions and making the process seamless. The service during our dinner was excellent, and we have also dined at Parker’s Hilltop before and are never disappointed. “Went here because it's the only thai place around with beer. Started with the Shrimp Rolls. Not what I expected. Awesome jumbo tail-on shrimp wrapped up with ground pork and spices. Yum. Followed with Gang Gai, chicken, medium. They give a pretty serious medium here. I was worried it would be milder. No worries there. Needed a 2nd beer. Again, yum!
Only knock: no soup with dinner? Only thai place I've been to where they don't give a cup of soup with dinner. Most give with lunch as well.“
