“The Hideout shocked me, i drove by for many years and figured it was a hole/little bar. When I walked in the interior was very nice. So the business end of the review, i had a cheeseburger with grilled onions and it was so darn good I was shocked. I came back the following night it was so good hoping they could replicate it, im not here for the drinks but the cheeseburger! Once again the chef comes through with a home run. Ill be back tomorrow or the next day, its that good and its of tremendous value, im not sure how they do it. The place is a gem!“

“Where do I even start! This is hands down, the premier cigar bar! I’ve gone to a few others and they don’t compare to DCs. Chris and Donny (owner) has done an incredible job. First off, the ventilation. On a packed night, the place isn’t even overly cloudy or smokey, great ventilation. Their humidor also offers a great selection of cigars at affordable prices. Next the food. Everything in the menu is top notch and other very affordable. The steak bites, deviled eggs, burgers, fries, everything, 5 out of 5. Now, the atmosphere, unlike any other cigar bar. It’s classy, looks good, clean, and always has a great mix in music and tv selection. They also have a hell of a drink selection, very impressive. Lastly, the staff. I’ve become a regular over the last six months and have had the pleasure to work with some of the best in the business. Sarah and Rheanna are amazing, they don’t get any better than these two! They’re friendly, treat you like they’ve known you for years, professional and know their business. Most would say they do this for the tips, they don’t. They do it because that’s just who they are, just friendly and sweet. Joe is also one hell of a guy! Everybody on the staff makes time for you. The moment you walk in, they greet you by name. They have an incredible staff, that’s what keeps you coming back. “Great food options for a smallish bar. There is a chef there during week (Tues-Fri?) who offers handwritten menu of specials. We had the baked meatballs (delicious) and the Cajun shrimp scampi (added more heat). One of our favorite places for smaller group dinners!“

“B. Nektar is an absolute gem! I first tried Zombie Killer years ago at a random bar in Cleveland, then hunted it down at a liquor store near home in the Chicago/NW Indiana area. When it disappeared from shelves, I missed it every single day for about 3 years.

Now that we’ve moved to Toledo, we realized we’re just over an hour away from the taproom and I’m so glad we finally visited. The selection of beers, ciders, and meads is incredible. The vibes are super chill and fun, and the staff was so friendly and attentive. They really made the experience even better. On top of that, the taproom has a great selection of games, which made the hours fly by with friends; we didn’t even notice it was well past dinner time!

We stocked up to take home (can’t wait to share the durian one with family in Chicago), and honestly, this is the best brewery we’ve found since Phase Three back in Chicago. Nothing else has compared until B. Nektar. Can’t wait to come back!“

“We first went to imperial in 2024 on our first visit to Detroit. As soon As we landed, we drove straight here for a meal that we knew would satisfy. The service is always fast and friendly ( ask your server for recommendations for food, drinks, activities they won’t steer you wrong). Danny, our server, was newly back to work at Pronto and I've never seen a server work so hard to accommodate people and ensure we were well cared for. the entire staff and clientele were so kind and encouraging. I spent most of the meal examining the lighting fixtures (there are so many!!!), and our family searched for disco balls (also SO MANY!). The food was amazing and the service was fast. we took our 14 year old there for dinner because they needed to see that there are safe, public spaces for them - and the awe and amazement in their eyes the whole time told me that we found our new "regular" spot. the music was fun, the service was spectacular, and the entire vibe was just lovely. and as a lighting nerd, they play with light beautifully, even during a routine dinner service. to the staff at Pronto - particularly Danny - thank you. as a mom trying to figure out how to best parent a child who isn't like me, you gave me immeasurable gifts last night. you gave my child hope for a future as an adult. we love the local youth programming available but it lacks a connection to adults who are thriving and living full, beautiful lives. seeing that in action was everything our kid needed and so much more. thank you.“

“Plav Post Ten is a hallmark in Hamtramck. Bar downstairs serving up drinks catering to veterans and accepting of civilians too. For Paczki Day it’s one of the major hotspots, the annual Paczki Eating Contest draw a good crowd and is followed by live music. Take a turn and come to Hamtramck to enjoy. 5/5.“
