“Always enjoy your beer but why does your bathroom resemble a jail cell? Weird, dark, lighting and dark colors. Also, that stainless steal sink that stays on for maybe a fraction of a second.

Who saw this aesthetic and thought, I'd feel comfortable in my most vulnerable state here.

“The cocktails made with in house gin and rye are dah bomb! The servers are attentive and personable. The food is amazing - highly recommend the fried rice and cod. Capt Dave for the beer win with a visit to the gorgeous beer garden in the back. A must visit when in the Grand Rapids area.“

“My husband has always loved the beer from here so we took advantage of a trip to Grand Rapids to stop in and have a couple flights. All our drinks were amazing and I was particularly thrilled with the blue slushie drink. We enjoyed the ambiance of the outdoor seating area with comfortable picnic tables with umbrellas. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Looking forward to our next trip there!“

“I've been coming here off and on for the last couple of years and every single time I have been greeted with open arms and the best hospitality. Nice relaxing atmosphere and fun vibes. Always strike great conversation with whomever is working or visiting. The Kombucha is top notch and the "Sound Experience" on certain Thursday's are phenomenal. Check it out!“

“Daughter kept hyping up Apfelwein she had in Frankfurt. I stumbled across KB looking for cider places. Apfelwein on the menu! What a fun surprise! Far better than the cider place we visited next and tried a 6 cider flight. We only wish we could’ve brought some home in a growler 😞 but I suppose we’ll have to return :)“

“I went picked Brass Ring Brewing to celebrate my birthday with my family. I choose Brass Ring because I was interested in trying their cask ales. What I found at Brass Ring was a level of customer service that I have rarely found across the food service industry. We showed up at Brass Ring to find that a very large group was dining there, taking up a majority of the seating. They don't take reservations, so it was going to be a challenge finding a table for our group of 6. The owner heard the staff struggling to find us an available table. He jumped in and found a solution. He personally asked a couple that was seated at a large table if they would be willing to move. They graciously accepted to make room for us. This level of customer service has obviously been trained into the entire staff because our waiter was the most helpful and hospitable server I've ever encountered. Firstly, he was extremely knowledgeable of food and drink menu, helping us to navigate it superbly. He also got the entire restaurant to sing "Happy Birthday" with us when it was time for dessert. The food and drinks were top notch, but the customer service was out of this world. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the Brass Ring. You will not be disappointed!“

“We had a great experience at this brewery! The beer was excellent, with plenty of variety to choose from, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The space is on the smaller side, but it’s incredibly welcoming and has a great atmosphere.
One of the best parts is being able to build your own flight, which makes it easy to try a range of different beers. Everything is also really affordable, which is a huge plus. It’s a fantastic spot to relax and sample some great brews — we’ll definitely be back!“

“I enjoyed my experience. So why 4 stars? Because everything there is just about perfect. Duck nachos? Delicious, but expensive. Beer Cheese? Good, but costs $3 more for an extra pretzel stick (only comes with 3 small ones). Beer? All good, but just shy of truly interesting variety.

Overall, I'm glad I tried it, but know that this is going to be a pricey experience and your mileage may vary.“

“Good place to have a beer. Good selection of different kinds of beer. Have some space for games like pinball, darts and the like. No food here so don’t come hungry. I had the Anastasia Imperial Stout and it was good. Worth checking out if you’re in the area.“

“Best beer in a market that is absolutely saturated. Their creations just flat out taste better than anything else. From a light drinking lager to a stout that you can only have 1 of LOL. Chill atmosphere with a friendly staff that is efficient without being overpowering. Food is excellent with a simple burger and fries that I’d put up against anyone else’s.“

“Went for the first time (hoping to buy bread, lol, they dont have any). We were impressed right away! First, the prices are amazing for a Rockford restaurant, 2nd nearly everything is homemade!! Down to the French Onion Soup recipe being the same one from the original Arnies I grew up with and was SO GOOD. Next the Chicken sandwich was seriously amazing! The Im a snob for French Dips so that was a 6 out of 10, but thats the only complaint. Even the ranch dressing on the salad was homemade and best Ive ever had! I cannot wait to try the entire menu! I hear their Pizza is award winning! Our Server and even the chef/owner were great!“

“Atwater is a brewery downtown Grand Rapids in the old Old Manor Building.
They have amazing beer, and quite tasty food. However parking sucks as there is none. I've been told you can park in the post office lot but you run the risk of getting towed. So. Yeah.

“We had a great time there yesterday with some friends. We tried some beer, cider, and Sangria. All were excellent. We also had a few appetizers for our meal. The brussels are superb, and the tenders and fries (my usual bar fare) were some of the best I've had. TRY the hot sauce made with ghost peppers if you like heat. They make it themselves and it's sooo good. I asked for a little take home dish and they guy happily got me a little dish. The staff here was great. Super nice peeps. We'll be back!!“

“This is a review for their Centennial Room Service and staff. We had a post elopement wedding celebration here, and we were blown away by the attentiveness and professionalism we experienced. Helena is amazing, I had a million questions leading up to the event, she was very prompt with responses and providing me with needed information. Our bartenders that night (7/25/26), I’m so sorry I can’t recall their names, were absolutely fantastic. Assisting me with with technology issues and providing service to all the guests. We received so many compliments on the food and space, so I really just wanted to say THANK YOU for making our day so amazing.“
