I actually erased my original post because it was too scathing. Re: food, nothing special, which is a shame, b/c the McNichols location was both the original and legendary. Cleanliness seems optional, and customer service that likely reflects the owners. I do not put this on the workers at all. I put this on the people making money in my neighborhood, who no longer seem to care about it.
Not at all like the other two locations my sandwich was fatty and sloppy didn't even finish it. A complete waste of $30!!!
Because I had heard that Lou's on W. 7 Mile had good corned beef sandwiches, I chose, on my birthday to give it a try. I was not impressed. The entrance needed to be swept. The floors were not looking clean, and the walls need a new coat of paint. In the suburbs, I will almost bet that that business would not have looked like our Lou's on W. 7 Mile. The person making my corned sandwich did not give me what I asked for. It was made with way too much sauce, which made it very soggy....read full review
