“I recently had a great experience at a Subway location on Woodward, near Wayne State University. As someone who enjoys chicken, I was really impressed with the quality and taste of their chicken sandwiches—they were fresh, flavorful, and made just the way I like. Another highlight for me was their cookies, which were soft, delicious, and the perfect treat to go along with my meal.
What made the visit even better was the friendly and respectful behavior of the employees. They were attentive, quick with service, and made sure my order was exactly right. I swung by this Subway on Grand River right in the middle of a chaotic afternoon, expecting just the standard, run-of-the-mill sandwich experience. Honestly? I was completely blown away by how well-run this spot is.
First off, as soon as you walk in, you notice how incredibly clean it is. The whole setup looks brand new and spotless. The bright lighting, the immaculate glass on the prep station, and even the chip racks and drink coolers are perfectly stocked and organized. It shares space with a convenience setup, which is honestly a huge plus because I was able to grab my lunch, a cold drink, and some snacks for later all in one swoop.
I also noticed they have the fresh meat slicers right behind the counter now, and you can really taste the difference in quality. The staff working the line deserves a shoutout, too. They were handling a steady flow of customers like absolute pros—working fast to keep the line moving, but they didn’t rush me while I was ordering. They built my sandwich exactly how I asked, toasted it perfectly, and didn't drown it in sauce (which is usually my biggest pet peeve!).
If you are navigating downtown Detroit and need a fast, reliable, and surprisingly fresh meal, this location is a hidden gem. It completely elevated my usual fast-food expectations. Quick, friendly, and spotless. I'll definitely be making this my regular stop when I'm in the area!“

“This place has the nicest employees however when trying to call and inform them that all of their cookies today 12/19/24 tastes like cleaning detergent I could not get anyone to answer the phone. I just kept getting placed on hold then disconnected. DO NOT BUY THE COOKIES! I had to trash them all.“

“The crew that worked at this Henry Ford location on: April 14, 2026 around 2 pm was GREAT! I was having a low blood sugar reaction and they helped me immediately when I told them. I requested an oatmeal raisin cookie and cup for a drink until I could order my sandwich. Tanijha gave me the cookie and cup immediately. When it was my turn to order my sandwich Mimi and Malcolm worked very well together to get my sandwich to me expeditiously due to my low blood sugar. All this happened during a very busy time for them; however, they worked together to get me and my blood sugar together! 😊 I want each of them to know that I appreciate them from the bottom of my heart. I tried to call to speak with their manager Angela the next day, to compliment them, but the phone just rang, then cut off. God BLESS and kudos to each of them for a JOB WELL DONE!

“We came here a few minutes prior to closing time.
The man that serviced us was extremely pleasant, prompt and polite. He was an older gentleman with salt and pepper or possibly white hair. He was so patient with us, even though he was about to close down. He loaded our sandwiches up with the remainder of meat he had left (we got double meat and it was much more generous than any other subway we’ve been to) and he was super fast with the whole process. It’s truly the people that make an establishment 5 stars or 1 star. He did an awesome job and we truly thank him for servicing customers so close to the end of the shift, and even a few minutes after close, with such understanding, patience and respect. You don’t see that very often, especially in a fast food restaurant. The food was great, too. The sandwiches were juicy, fat and toasty. Just how we like them. Cookies on point. We will come back.
Don’t let the “atmosphere” of the place deter you. Sure, it’s not glamorous. But the service made up for it in spades. Thank you kind sir!“

“Update 5-5-26: I went back and they made my sandwich again no problem. They did say next time I need to have the physical sandwich with me… regardless I’m happy they were able to resolve it. And I updated my review to reflect.

Want my money back 😕 So they got my order completely wrong. I ordered through the app and basically got an entirely different sandwich. It was not toasted, they added coleslaw and the sauce wasn’t even the correct sauce. I don’t know what was going on but I made this order through the app and never had an issue before. Was in a rush so I didn’t check before leaving the store and now I have a sandwich I fundamentally did not order. Do better please.“

This is the only Subway I go to in Dearborn/Detroit. During the daytime, Little Moe is there — and he keeps every veggie and meat looking fresh, clean, and actually fresh. But here's the secret: just ask him to make you his own specialty sandwich and let him surprise you. Kid's young but has wisdom beyond his age. Best sandwiches you'll ever have from a Subway.
