“I had special ordered a birthday cake for my daughters birthday, and while they weren’t able to accommodate a lactose diet (not a serious one so we still went with them) they still went above and beyond with customer service. It ended up taking them an hour longer than they said it would so the owner hand delivered it to our house, threw in 6 cupcakes of the same design for free, AND refunded the order. I can’t believe someone would go that above and beyond in this day and age but it is always so great to see it, and even greater to experience it. I would recommend this bakery to anyone and everyone. The food was amazing as well“

“Husband and I went to Lakeview Inn Saturday late afternoon and had the deep fried mushrooms and onion rings. Both items were very good and the Bloody Mary was excellent!!! Ordered a small meat lovers pizza to take home and we're very impressed how good it was as well. It was awesome and will definitely return. That Bloody Mary though!! Must return for one of those!!! Service was good too, all around great experience!!“

“I went to SMC from 2008 to 2012 and really enjoyed my time there. I started as a high school student taking early college classes. Instructors were very fair and I learned a lot from my experience. I felt like SMC was a very easy transition from high school to college for me. I originally was on the RN track but decided to take the Pharmacy Tech program as well as earn my degree in business. The dorms are phenomenal and better than most four year college dorms. They are safe, spacious, and new. If you are thinking about living on campus, I would tell you that the dorms will be nicer than any apartment in the town of Dowagiac. The college is really close to town but they have their own cafeteria that has THE BEST chili cheese fries and chicken tenders ever! The Student Activity Center, also known as the SAC, is loads of fun for students to take advantage of for FREE! Use of the SAC is covered by your tuition! The SAC is a beautiful new building that hosts a wonderful gym, private and clean locker rooms, a full gymnasium, a rock climbing wall room, three resistance pools, gaming center with xbox, wii, and playstation, ping pong tables, arcade games, a café, dance studios, and private work out rooms. I spent a lot of time there and my favorite part was the resistance pools. The SAC is a great place to hang out in between classes and meet new friends. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at SMC and was able to transfer most of my credits to a four year school out of state.“

“My husband and I ate here for the first time today because we recently moved to the area and love trying the Mom-n-Pop stops. I will say that this place has some of the best bacon around, hands down. I ordered the country fried steak breakfast and the steak seemed to be a little rubbery. I think that this diner is known for doing their meat "well done" though because a lot of regulars there prefer it that way. I'll know for next time when I try the NY Strip breakfast on our next trip there. They seemed to be out of a few things such as Decaf coffee, American fries and lemons for water and iced tea. The server, although kind, could've used a smile when greeting customers or a more peppy attitude. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and will be back. Prices are great considering the portion sizes are big. I like the signs on the wall in the diner. I loved that it's a small establishment. The bathroom could use an update but from the reviews I read, it sounds like the guy they rent from is dragging his feet on helping them out with this. Either way, make your own judgements. Oh, also, I seen a lot of people complain about the wait time for menus and food... There were a few people ahead of us and I feel like we were given menus and drinks immediately and food was out within 10-15 minutes.Parking: All parking spots are close to the entrance.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps entering the building so easily accessible.“
