Walking in you notice how delicious everything smells, how clean everything is and how friendly everyone who works here is. The food is top notch. The breadding on the catfish fritters made my mouth water, the greens made me want to write home, the mac and cheese was perfectly cooked and the meatloaf was so tender and tasty. Then the dessert! Peach cobbler that made me make obscene noises, the creamy vanilla scoop and the amazing red pop sorbet were bursting with flavorful perfection. I highly recommend going here and trying everything.“

“First time at the restaurant on a busy Sunday. The food did not disappoint and either did the service. Stacie our waitress was attentive and on point. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We had everything from fried catfish, meatloaf, short ribs, BBQ ribs, fried pork chop and chicken and waffle along with a variety of sides and beverages. I even got a ToGo of the short ribs because they were so tender (a little fatty but tender still). We were a party of 9 and they seated us with no problem. It was a little stuffy and definitely needed more air circulation.“

Best collard greens I’ve had in Michigan… I’m from Texas and I sure miss collard greens and black eyed peas!!! I wish y’all had hush puppies!!!! He recently stopped chicken and will only eat turkey. ive made so many turkey dishes the last few months since him stopping chicken and i know hes getting bored. We decided to give Gingerberry a chance since we only had it once years ago. OMG! soooooo delicious! We ordered the turkey chops, got 3 large chop, a nice large scoop of mac and cheese and mash potatoes. Weve been dragging about it all wkend. We ordered it on doordash and paid $25. thats including door dash fees so ofcourse if u go in it’s such cheaper. Superb Ginger Berry and Thank you for making my hubby happy. I had frequented Savannah Blue a few times, however this was my guy's first time. We both ordered the salmon with grits which was well prepared and seasoned to perfection; very delicious. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. The music level was a bit loud. We had to talk loudly to hear each other. Our waitress, her name escapes me, was very attentive and friendly. She made our dining experience pleasant. I will definitely be bringing my guy back again. He was really impressed.“

“I ordered a catfish and chicken wing ding combo and the chicken drum/flat were literally less than an inch long each. I couldn't believe they would serve a portion of that size. The remainder of the food was seasoned well. My husband and I went back, terrible decision, July 27th. We ordered food at 1230 and we got our food at 150am when the place closed. We asked for our table to be cleaned-never happened. The staff were rude at closing, the music was shut off and lights turned on in the middle of a song without warning. Staff started yelling, "Get out, you need to leave!" We were still waiting on our food. Staff yelled that phrase to us and we told him we have been waiting on our food fir over an hour. They were still trying to make us leave without our dinner. We eventually received our food and left. It cost $40 to get in, there's a drink minimum and 20% gratuity on food. We will not be returning and if anybod6asks about this restaurant, I will discourage them from patronizing this business.“

The catfish is the best that zi have had in years and the collards and yams were excellent! It is clear that care and love went into the food preparation.
