“I normally frequent the brownstone location. however in my work travels sometimes I stop by the 14 n Woodward location. today I got a bowl and had a few problems. 1 the lid wasn't on all the way so now got food all over my clothes and inside my vehicle. also the pieces of meat were big and not sliced up. How tf is someone supposed to eat that with a plastic fork ? it would of took 30 seconds to slice that up for a bowl, instead it was left whole. normally the food is great, but today was not good.“

Atmosphere was quiet (we arrived just as they opened on Sunday). Overall, enjoyable and not too expensive. We got quite a bit of food. Oh, and the fresh bread was greet.“

“Highly recommend! First time in and won’t be my last. Best beef kafta I’ve ever had and I grew up in Dearborn. Better than La Marsa, Shish, anywhere. Kafta is tender and not overcooked. They have the food fresh baked round pita bread, not the store bought. The dressing for fattoush is soo good. My server, Rumana, was so sweet and attentive. 11/10!“

“Delicious shawarma bowls: chicken, beef, falafel or gyro. I haven't tried the cream chop but I know those are good too. The pink Greek dressing can't found everywhere so I like that they have it here. Food is always fresh and they run a very neat and clean kitchen and grill. The staff is always courteous. “Dined-in, excellent food at this small restaurant with a few high tables. Split the chicken shawarma plate with veggies with my husband, also ordered hommus and meat grape leaves. Everything was great, fresh and evidently made with skill and love. My fave veg was the pickled cabbage. The grape leaves stuffing wasn't my the best ever, but the leaves themselves certainly were. The texture and size were amazing. My husband really liked the sauce they put on the grape leaves, for him, these were the best tasting he's had. Plenty of pita bread to scoop up the hommus. Right temperatures for all the food. A family owns, cooks and staffs the place and they made us feel welcomed and treated us royally. Delicious date filled cookies to go was a winning touch for a superb meal. Wish I lived closer!“

“This is a review ahead: My hairstylist/friend Zena is a family member of the Royal Palace owners. She mentioned it months ago and we kept meaning to go. We are finally heading over to sample the lovely menu and celebrate the G's 55th anniversary and toast to Zena's wedding!“

“I ordered Mixed Protein Rice Bowl and a Small Strawberry Mango Smoothie. It was ready when I arrived and ice and hot. The bowl was so good. I wish I’d found this place earlier! The smoothie was so fresh. It tasted like it had been made the same day with fresh ingredients.“

“I have been getting lunch (usually takeout) from this place for about 5 years. They have had the same staff the entire time - great service - truly good , caring human beings! The food is wonderful, especially the falafel sandwich and falafel bowls! Deserts are great too!“

“My son had Princess cater his grad party and it was excellent! Everyone was raving about the food and asked where we got it. Kenny was so helpful to setup my order and i had 2 servers for the day. “Good Chicken Shawarma Sandwiches, I Ordered 2. 8/10 stars.

The only 2 things I didn't like was the extra garlic sauce they put in and they told me 15 mins...walked in 15 mins later and the sandwiches were luke-warm.

So I believe (and having experience working in restaurants)...was that they say 15 mins no matter what and these sandwiches were probably made within 5 mins and sat on the counter.

No worries...I won't hold that against them. It was a quick thing and last minute thing to eat a carry out.
I'll be back because the person who rung me up was very nice.
