“What a gem to find! They have a very loyal fan group and they stay busy! We walked in and totally expected to wait but we got seated right away. Our server-- this darling older women who got us our drinks right away. She was up front and said we picked the busiest time to try them out but that they are worth the wait. I found one of my favorite restaurants having the same conversation (shout out to Darlene at Old School) Good food takes time. We waited. I'm so glad we did. What a great restaurant. Great staff. Even the patrons thats were waiting were all in a good mood. If you are ever having a day, go to Dan's, you'll for sure leave with a smile and a full tummy!“
“The food here is mind blowingly amazing and they’re open all night. Highly, highly, highly recommend eating here. It’s so hard to pick what to get—can’t go wrong with double layer nachos or chicken fried chicken with gravy. Or both.“
“I just HAVE to review this amazing, cozy little retro diner. It is incredible. My siblings and I were looking for a good brunch spot in Madison Heights and I am so happy we decided to stop in here. The server was so kind, the food was made to order and QUICKLY. Everything was delicious, reasonably priced and they have an extensive menu. I am vegetarian and more than enough dishes are available to accommodate me.The thing that really charmed me, though, was how our serve greeted multiple patrons by name and was very pleasant and personable to everyone. She called us “baby” and even gave my sister a hug. I love this old, down-home, small-town atmosphere. Such a breath of fresh air! I will definitely be back. Planning to become a regular! ☺️Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid-friendly. Several children were dining with us, including my 12-years-old nephew.“
“Nicks restaurant is a fine establishment. From their early bird specials to their daily specials, you can't find a better place to enjoy a meal. Delicious food and wonderful service makes for relaxed down home cooked meal. You can always get a carryout if you don't want to eat out. Nick is the nicest guy you ever want to meet and he cares about his customers. If you want a good meal at a reasonable price, try Nick's restaurant. I can't say enough good things about Nick's. Please try a Mexican omelet which has chili on it. Wow!!!“
“I adore coming here since moving nearby! Always wanted to try it and I’m happy I did. Staff are incredible and 10 friends is so important for the community! We need more of this in Windsor. Love bringing my family here for breakfast whenever we can.“
“In town for a personal trip to see the Metallica concerts. So, there are thousands of people in downtown Detroit, many of whom were looking for a place to eat on a Saturday morning. The wait was long for Cadillac Square and they had one waitress who also acted as the host and cashier. She was moving as fast as anyone can and even with that, was not short with the customers. It took a while to get us seated and another bit longer to get our breakfast after we ordered but everything was very good. The coffee is really good and our breakfasts were cooked great and tasted even better. A great stop for anyone looking for a great diner meal!!“
“Campus Bistro is easily the best option for breakfast in Midtown. Like it isn't close. Every other spot (except for possibly Olympic Cafe) is completely overpriced or doesn't offer a breakfast option. The draw of Campus Bistro is that it's a great value, especially if you're a Wayne State Student. Besides a couple of spots in Mexicantown, you will not find a more affordable breakfast than this. Also, your portions are huge, so a meal here can take you through to dinner. I had the steak and eggs and would guess that the steak I was given was all of10 oz.The service is awesome, and each time I've gone the waiter has been incredibly attentive. I used to go here when I was in Law School, and now that it's under new management, I think it's a much better restaurant. Highly, highly recommended“
“They played a lot of 80's and 90's music, which was cool. Very packed! The staff was very nice. This was more of a bar and grill type atmosphere than a restaurant, in my opinion. The outside gives more of a restaurant look. We did have fun. The food was liked by everyone at the table.“
“When I say this place is worth the money, this place is it. I give it a 10+. A little pricey but you have to pay for great food right? And they are BLACK owned❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️“
“Soul food the movie was running on a TV. The hostess Crystal was pleasant and the cook Flo made me a tasty Western Omelette. Coffee was fresh. Good place to grab a quick bite if you have to wait near the Patrick McNamara federal building and you are feeling hungry.“
“The Fly Trap is an underrated brunch spot. They have a full bar and awesome tasting food. They have jam flavors on rotate each month made from scratch. The servers are chill, and the building is comfortable like a coffee shop cafe restaurant. Large portions of food and good quality.“
