“We stopped at the diner on our visit to Frankenmuth. We couldn't pass up the opportunity of dining at a legit classic diner!

Everything we ordered tasted great. The dishes are paired very well in ingredients. The young lady who waited on us did a great job. The diner had a good amount of people in it the whole time we were there. Definitely seems to be a local favorite.

If you're a local or a tourist, I definitely recommend the comet diner. Next time we go back, we gotta try for lunch or dinner!“

“We are from San Diego, CA and our neighbor told us about Tony's I-75, knowing that we travel out that way 2x a year to see family. Wow! Our expectations weren't just met, they were exceeded in taste, price, proportions, and friendliness of the staff. We will be coming back for one more breakfast before we head home! Gregg was the nicest employee I ever encountered at a restaurant! He wasn't over the top though, he was a true, genuine nice person who cares about being nice to others. “Our Easter meal started out great. Our server started out getting everything we ordered to the table promptly, and checking back to see if anything else was needed. She later came back to ask about containers, and dessert. She returned with multi containers, & dessert at the same time. This jammed up the whole table, as we struggled to package everything, while our ice cream sat melting. We felt like we were being rushed out the door. We have never experienced this before. “So we calorie splurged on a Big Ole Applebee's burger and switched up to waffle fries (for a nominal fee), and got 5 and a half waffle fries on the plate... not at all what we expected for an upcharge side. Our server agreed that was 'kinda skimpy' and said she would 'go yell at him for us'... We never saw a manager to flag down, which is unusual at Applebees, and will probably go to a different Applebees next time. We do like menu and the food, but there's an Applebees at every exit!“
