“Regular customer here, the food is always great! In fact I just had a chef salad and it was the best I've had up to date. The only place I've found where the meat- veggie ratio was perfect. I had a bite of meat with almost every bite AND I didn't have to pay extra for extra meat. The service is always amazing and we're always excited to go back. I'd HIGHLY recommend Verna's!“

“Before we moved away in 1972 (when I was 10) This was my father's bar.... Where everybody KNEW HIS NAME.... and I often was with him and everybody knew MY NAME, and bought me Shirley Temples.... I played in the empty stage area on the other side of the bar area.... Has it changed in 60 years? “Every single food item my group got we loved. I got pierogies, and Philly with truffle tots. First off whoever thought of truffle tots should win an award. The truffle, herbs, and cheese get in the crispy crevices which makes it so tasty! My friends got pretzels and burgers... all great! $4 craft drafts on Thurs with music bingo was nice! If I ever drive 45 minutes to Wyandotte again, I'll hit this place up.“

“Been coming here since I was 21 with a 10yeqr gap in my mid 20’s to mid 30’s. Even when they’re packed we have good service. TV’s everywhere so every seat has a good view of whatever game is on. And they have touch tones so you control the music when there isn’t a game. Pleasant and attentive staff. Great beer selection and it’s always fresh. Just wish there were a few more healthy food selections. Even so everything is tasty. Chili is definitely some of the best restaurant chili available and in the fall they have rotating soups.“

“We attended a wedding at Grosse Ile Yatch Club. The staff was great, very friendly and attentive, made sure the guests were taken care of. The dinner was buffet style, the food was good. The meal was mixed veg, roasted red skins, chicken marsala, and steak au poive. The venue is very cool, right on the Detroit River. Overall experience was really good. Definitely recommend this venue.“

The prices on drinks are quite reasonable, especially during happy hour.One thing to keep in mind is that there is not a lot of space and the restrooms are not too convenient.Overall, this place has great prices on drinks and may be a decent place to go to before heading to a nearby bar with food.“

“A lot of free surrounding convenient parking. This place reminds me of a smaller St. Andrews Hall. The security was on point. The prices weren't too crazy at the bar. I love that they give you ice water instead of purified water in a bottle. You can get pretty close up to the stage, and I loved that they had a handicap area to sit in as my sciatica was acting up. Will most definitely be back.“

“This place is a total dive, but in the best way possible! The Redneck Riviera is a hole-in-the-wall joint with a heart of gold. The beer is cheap, the music is loud, and the crowd is a mix of locals and out-of-towners looking for a good time. Showed the kids a lot of attention and made sure we were all taken care of coming out and checking on us consistently. BTW the food was great!“
