“The food was so good; they make their own bacon which was super flavorful. We had the Megg sandwich on a biscuit and it was very good. The coffee option is regular which would have put the place top on my list if it had a nice cappuccino or even latte but the food was with the drive from our camp site. Would recommend and go again.”

The blueberry special drink was by far the best I’ve ever had and my girls enjoyed their “coffee”. I came back again because when on vacation WHY NOT?! My kids and husband were at our house.. I walked in excited to drink a coffee and shop with no kids, ordered my drink.. FORGOT MY WALLET WAS IN MY DIAPER BAG AT HOME. The sweet lady at the register was an absolute angel and got my drink. Tears in my eyes typing this. Not only is the coffee good, the customer service and people are so so nice. Will be visiting next year when we are back!”

“I think happystance might be my favorite place on earth, let me tell you why. First of all, Katie (the owner) and her staff are some of the most welcoming people in the world, I am convinced. They are all great with all ages. They can have conversations with me as an adult who’s starving for human interaction after spending most days with small children, but also comfortably joke and play with the kids. The food is straight up phenomenal. Even just a simple 2 egg breakfast is somehow just significantly better than it should be. But there’s also so many creative and unique options to make your breakfast/lunch a little more *bougie*. If you have kids, the staff will ensure it’s a special visit for them. They have a snack when they sit down, there’s markers and toys and stuff to look at. There’s enough to do that the kids won’t be insane, meaning if you DON’T have kids, this will still be an enjoyable place for you to dine. All in all, happystance is the best and if you don’t visit while you are in town, or regularly as a local, you’re missing out. 10/10 obviously would recommend.”

Nestled in the middle of the countryside where good food and excellent customer service can be rare finds, Pullman Tavern stands out as a true hidden gem. I happened upon it late in the evening, hungry and with no other dining options in sight. As I walked in, the staff kindly informed me they were nearing closing time. I explained there was nowhere else to eat in the area, and instead of turning me away, they went above and beyond to make sure I had a great meal.

The bartender and the cook could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. Their warm hospitality immediately set the tone for my visit, and it was clear they genuinely cared about making my experience enjoyable. Even at the end of a long day, they treated me like a welcome guest rather than an inconvenience.

To my surprise, the burger I ordered was absolutely outstanding, perfectly cooked, flavorful, and far better than I ever expected from a small town tavern. The sides were equally satisfying, and my drink was mixed with just the right touch of elegance, exactly how I like it. While this is very much a tavern atmosphere, the quality of the food could rival a dedicated restaurant.

The Pullman Tavern also offers amenities like a pool table and a comfortable, relaxed vibe. The space is spotless, the atmosphere is inviting, and the friendliness of the staff is unmatched. This visit truly turned my trip through the area into an unexpectedly great experience.

If you ever find yourself in the middle of nowhere craving a great meal and genuine human kindness, Pullman Tavern is the place to go. I will absolutely go out of my way to stop in again the next time I am in the area. Without hesitation, I give it a full five stars.”

“I can tell you one thing... this place is the G.O.A.T for burgers. By far the best burger, I've EVER had. If you are ever in the Saugatuck area, you need to see these peeps. Well worth the trip for a burger. Most people over cook a smash burger, not these people still cooked Medium. So so impressed. We will be back. Oh and the chips were house made, and the Duck Sauce is perfect for a burger. Get here.”

“A Saugatuck gem serving top-notch New Haven-style pizza. We had a lovely dinner at Noble Twist. We wanted to try it since it had great reviews. The pizzas were unique. We shared the delicious Arugula Caprese Salad and the Bruzzi Pizza was a perfect balance of mozzarella, basil, garlic, and balsamic. The pizza and salad were more than enough for two and we took a few slices to-go. Super friendly service, and a great outdoor space make this a must visit.”
