“Today 4/22/2022 we had a disappointing experience with our purchase at The Pasty Shop. I ordered (2) regular beef pasties at 2:00 for pickup at 4:00. When I got them home and cut into them they were extremely dry, had no onion, and the inside of the crust was burnt. “Best Sweet Potatoe Pies EVER! Grew up in this neighborhood. I always came back for Holidays-especially Thanksgiving. Due to COVID I haven’t been out much but I’m just now hearing they are permanently closed. The number is disconnected as well. If true, this is definitely devastating to say the least!

Update: New Owner, I went by and pies were sold out, I’ve heard people have been disappointed and that the recipe is not the same. I rather not find out, it’s a wrap fa me!

“This is BY FAR one of the best restaurants in Windsor. Absolutely blown away when we recently got take out from here, just outstanding. Everything is homemade , very large portions. Had the spinach pie ( probably the best I have had in my lifetime) and the Shawarma beef and chicken plate . Just so flavourful and unique! Their pita bread is all homemade as well and it’s unbelievable. I literally called them after our meal to rave ! Will eat here again many times to come.“

The chocolate tasted like chocolate milk and my son said his vanilla was like vanilla milk. They were not very thick at all. We had 2 separate orders that my husband was trying to make into one and just pay’ so maybe the girl making them was a little annoyed, (as I saw based on her facial expression….) We will still go back but definitely make sure to correct the shakes if those get ordered again“
