“Pastaio is a wonderful addition to the Grosse Pointe dining scene. The space feels warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed—perfect for a relaxed night out that still feels a little special. The food was delicious, with so many great options that make it hard to choose just one favorite. Everything we ordered was beautifully prepared and full of flavor.

I also loved seeing a well-thought-out mocktail menu. It’s such a nice touch and something that feels very current and inclusive—whether you’re not drinking that night or just want something fun and intentional beyond water or soda.

One of my favorite features of the space is the semi-private area in the back. It’s ideal for hosting—intimate enough to feel special, but still connected to the energy of the restaurant. You can tell this is a place designed with gathering in mind, which I always appreciate.”

Must give high praise to the 3 employees their tonight.
There was orders lined up for door dash plus walk in behind walk in.

The crew still tried their best to get the orders out as fast and accurate as they can. You could see they were a little frustrated (BUT THAT HUMAN, THEY ARE NOT ROBOTS AND CANT CONTROL POOR MANAGEMENT LEAVING THEM UNDERSTAFFED) they still gave good customer service.

My order was done correctly and I just want them to be acknowledged.”

You should never bring your problems to work. It was probably because I was wearing my God got me jacket. Something you can't get past.”

But everything was tasteful and great.\n\nHow server, might be the owner, was very nice and sweet.\n\nHowever, for canadians especially, be aware that they serve American portions hehehe. Impossible to finish a dinner including appetizer and dinner. \n\nWould definitively recommand.”
