“Marukin Restaurant is, without a doubt, my go-to spot in the city. This Japanese and Thai restaurant has quickly become my favorite, and for good reason. The owner does all the cooking, which ensures a consistently high level of quality and freshness in every dish. You can really taste the difference—each plate feels carefully crafted, and the ingredients are always vibrant and flavorful. The prices are also very reasonable, making it easy to indulge in excellent Japanese and Thai cuisine without breaking the bank.

Living close by, it’s tough to resist stopping in frequently, and I find myself returning more often than I can count. Over the years, I've brought countless friends here, and they all end up loving it just as much as I do. Marukin has a certain hidden gem quality, making it feel like a special discovery in Windsor. The owner is genuinely kind and clearly passionate about his work, which adds a personal touch that makes each visit memorable.

I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu—from the fresh sushi and sashimi to the flavorful Thai curries—and I’ve yet to be disappointed. The seafood is fresh, the spices in the curries are perfectly balanced, and the portions are just right. You simply can’t go wrong at Marukin. “We just came from Kona Sushi in Tecumseh. Our server was excellent. Dominica helped us navigate the menu and we chose the Golden Dragon and the Red Dragon roll. They were both excellent. Lovely decor. Our meal was promptly served. Dominica also made us a pitcher of Mojitos that were also excellent. I highly recommend Kona in Tecumseh.“

“I’ve never had a bad experience here at Yoshii. I always get the $10 meal deal because it makes smart economical sense. It’s a different protein each day so you truly get to switch it up but getting that delicious rice and spring roll. You truly don’t need the sauce because the seasoning is so on point.
Let me also say, the containers are perfect for work lunch time storage. 😁
And one added bonus is, that stunning young lady that works there from time to time.

“Sushi, sushi and let me say it again SUSHI! Treat yourself to Hi Sushi anytime, but consider trying it during their lunch specials, less than $11 for two sushi rolls!?! Wait and even better the lunch specials run on Saturdays!?! Recommendation: Please call & visit their website for the specific times and days the lunch specials are offered because the menu could be changed. The Sushi was so tasty, that I had it for dinner! On the second occasion, I went inside and the staff was friendly. Cannot wait to dine in next time because the atmosphere was inviting. Recommendation: Deep Fried Spicy California Roll and California Roll, both were equally delicious! If you want a bomb of flavor on your tongue, make sure to dab a little wasabi and ginger slice too.
