“Recently got a carry out from the Clinton Township location I ordered a bowl. It was very salty which I can only attribute to the rice since it’s chicken based the rest was grilled pork and fresh vegetables. I gave up half way thru just couldn’t handle the salty taste. Maybe they should sample it before serving?“

The lamb shawarma was one of the best I have had out side east Desrborn, I can say that because I lived in that area for over 30 years . Clean , fast friendly . Staff , Top Shelf. “Tried Wokabob for the first time today and my mind is blown. This place makes better Thai food than the Thai places. Probably the best Thai fried rice I’ve ever had. Flavor and spice level are on point. The portions are huge. I’ll be eating this for 3 days. We also had the chicken and steak shawarma bowl. Much better than the other places that don’t even make it on the rotisserie. I ordered 2 dinners and 2 egg rolls and the bag I walked out with felt like about 12 pounds. This is going to be my new go-to place for Thai and Mediterranean. Great job Wokabob!!!“

“It's been called SAWA SHAWARMA & GRILL since the ownership changed in 2024 and the food has only gotten better. Windsor has lots of good shawarma, and this is some of the best in the city. The potatoes have a lot of spices. If you want less spice, then get the rice.“

“Came in for the first time with a major pregnancy craving for some Lamb Shawarma. The gentleman behind the counter was incredibly kind and helpful, double checking how much spice I wanted, and letting me know it would take about 15 minutes as it’s made fresh. Took the food home and everything was absolutely delicious! The lamb was tender and well marinaded, the seasoning was flavorful, and the vegetables and garlic sauce complemented everything wonderfully. Between the great service and quality, I will definitely be back again for this hidden gem!“

As I began eating my meal , one of the kind gentlemen gave me 2 grape leafs free of charge. When I offered to pay for them he insisted it was OK! .. “I've been here multiple times for steaks, this was a go to for my mom's BBQ parties annually for many years. Since they expanded into a restaurant and market we primarily just get the prepared foods since it's a little out of the way now but as a shawarma fan I can say they are top notch and have amazing food. They load up portions and everything has been stellar from flavor to freshness and at a fair price. I will go out of my way to get dinner from here. Highly recommend trying.“

“During my visit to Detroit for the AAG conference, I had the opportunity to have lunch at this place twice since it was nearby. The staff were very kind and helpful, and you can sit and relax there as long as you want; nobody rushes you out. The food was really delicious and very affordable compared to other restaurants in the area.“

“Now this place is amazing. It has everything you want. The food is fantastic. Lots to pick from and the guys behind the counter are not your typical store food chefs. They are making art with food. Your mouth will know the difference. Plus they have a full store of goods and drinks. It's a one stop shop for basically anything you need. The staff is very cool. One guy reminds me of Sal for Deadwood. It's fun just to visit. They also deliver if you don't want to go there. Reminds me of some southern cooking.
