“First I would like to say the food was freshly prepared in front of us & we had a bit of a wait, but for fresh food I will not complain about waiting!This was my first time here, the food looks nothing like the pictures, however it was very tasty, I was pleasantly surprised!The chicken is juicy, possibly the juiciest chicken I’ve had considering all of the chicken places on every corner & the asked if I wanted lemon pepper in my chicken too(yesss!!) the original sauce really brings out the Cajun flavors in the chicken and they compliment each other perfectly.The honey biscuits were sitting under the lamp for a while and not dripping in butter like I expected, I would probably ask for extra drizzle next time, but still had a nice crust and fluffy inside.The place is a bit run down, not organized & seemingly unclean, but it’s a gas station too, and that didn’t bother me much since I’ve lived in the area forever. I will definitely return!“

“It was my first time getting captain Jay's. I got the cod combo. Fries are amazing, fish was nicely cooked and I liked the coleslaw. I felt like their menu was a little confusing (at the drive thru). I got the fish with the lemon pepper seasoning, which had nice flavor but was so powdery on top of the fish that I don't think I could recommend it or get it again.“

“Been around a ton of sub shops, this place is hands down the cream of the crop in his market. I love the Fajita and the Louisiana: legit killers! I got my family and friends hooked on his sandwiches. Give this place a try and thank me later.“

“My husband and I have been ordering take out from here for about two years now and this is by far my favorite place around.We always get the chicken fried rice add shrimp with mild spice and 4 spring rolls!I’m not 100% so don’t quote me but I’m pretty sure it’s one lady who owns the place who does all of the cooking herself. “I can't believe this place doesn't have more reviews. We came here to break our fast, the line looked pretty long initially but it moved so quickly. The service was fast, friendly, and homey. This hole in the wall had one of the best rotisserie chickens I've had in a while, and the toum and pickles made it a perfect bite. “Food was great! I called ahead for a large order for my daughter birthday, everything was hot and fresh and the staff working was very pleasant, they made sure I had enough and ensured that I had my whole order. As far as the store it's in , you can stick up on stuff you made need while you're out. Randomly inside a liquor store. Everyone at the pet loves the chicken and the red beans and rice with off the chain. Only downside was that they ran out of biscuits:( still giving a 5 star, so good they ran out.“

The manager (Jeff, I think) was so nice and pretty flippin HILARIOUS! I didn't get the names of the other employess I interacted with but everyone was AMAZING!Second, I ordered an 8pc dark with fries and coleslaw. Everything was delicious, but the chicken..... “Was getting gas in the middle of the day and couldn't help my curiosity about Sarokis. It was off peak time for food but I found the food was very fresh - honey butter biscuits just out of the oven! Both the tenders and the wings were fresh and good pieces of meat and they were delicious! Tim was so friendly and answered all of my menu questions. The restaurant was clean. My favorite outside of my own recipe- The mashed potatoes were eh…and why brown gravy and not gravy that tastes like chicken gravy? The potatoes have that potato flake mix flavor that I’m not a fan of- The biscuits aren’t fluffy and taste ok-- The sides were part of the meal and perfect size- Some places give you small lil sides-We plan to be back but I’m concerned because they are changing their name to Motor city chicken- Does this mean broasted bros sold business? ?Hope it makes it- Although there are more chicken places than ever, they aren’t all good- This is at the top of my list ?“
