“Awesome place, great service, great food. Being stuck next to the Marijuana dispensary and the liquor/gas station makes parking a mess and the lobby isn't very inviting. The guy running the place is super nice and answered all of my questions about types of fish and everything was delicious ? 9/10 would go again! Sorry, ate half of the food before I thought to take a pic and share.“

“First I would like to say the food was freshly prepared in front of us & we had a bit of a wait, but for fresh food I will not complain about waiting!This was my first time here, the food looks nothing like the pictures, however it was very tasty, I was pleasantly surprised!The chicken is juicy, possibly the juiciest chicken I’ve had considering all of the chicken places on every corner & the asked if I wanted lemon pepper in my chicken too(yesss!!) the original sauce really brings out the Cajun flavors in the chicken and they compliment each other perfectly.The honey biscuits were sitting under the lamp for a while and not dripping in butter like I expected, I would probably ask for extra drizzle next time, but still had a nice crust and fluffy inside.The place is a bit run down, not organized & seemingly unclean, but it’s a gas station too, and that didn’t bother me much since I’ve lived in the area forever. “The absolute best fried chicken in Michigan. We were coming back from vacation at 2am craving chicken. This place was open. We were not expecting anything and OMG this was amazing. My wife and I will never go anywhere else. We will drive over an hour to have this over and over again. Customer service was phenomenal and food was hot. My favorite ?!“

“Almost a 5. Staff was friendly, but they overcooked the chicken a little bit. We kept checking to see if was ready, but they kept cooking it and sure enough it was little over cooked, a little dry. It wasn't horrible. So I'm giving it a try again and will see if it doesn't come out so dry the next time around. It's better than the one by 275 at Shell gas station and much cleaner. I'll never go back to the one by Shell gas on Eureka and 275.Edited: I went again and this time the shrimp was overcooked. The tenders were excellent, tender and juicy. But I like shrimp and was sorely disappointed with the shrimp it was dark and they didn't have any honey butter sauce. The best one I've been to was in Hillsdale Michigan, which was my first taste of the place. So all other locations now compare to that one, and unfortunately this one at Star liquor had subpar shrimp. I reduce my rating to a 3.5.“

“My little family of four went to Mr. Chicken for the first time (6pm, Sept 11, 24) and it was fabulous! My 12 year old grandson and my two daughters enjoyed every last bite that we could make ourselves eat.

The restaurant is old, cute and inviting! We were all very comfortable.

Also, a huge shout out to our waitress. We believe there was only one waitress and she was exceptionally great!

Kid-friendliness: My grandson is always such a nervous little guy in the restaurants, but he was so comfy here. We laughed and talked as if we were at home!“

“I suggested my mother order wings for the holiday from here. we have been coming here for 5 years, and have referred many. their website prices does not match in store pricing,, nor their menus.. she ordered a 100 wing dings, website 54.99, in store 79.99. She even called beforehand and confirmed price. when she arrived she was given a different price. So bad customer service and false advertisement. Me & my family won't be returning. I also will be notifying all the people I referred plus letting my co workers at the airport know of this. we will just go to or other spot..he was also rude and disrespectful. buyers beware! “Ordered through Doordash at 10PM on Christmas evening! What a lifesaver. Dark meat chicken is so good. Lightly breaded (if any breading at all). The skin is very crispy and tasty. Ate it with pickled jalapeno and fried pickles. Reasonable price.“

“The Gentleman working told us we would be back once we mentioned it was our first time trying this place. He was ABSOLUTELY correct! The chicken was fantastic! Potatoes were amazing! Rolls were ok but not bad, will definitely try a different side. I would completely recommend this location over any other big chain like KFC, or Popeyes. The chicken was hot and oh so crispy and juicy! Found our new go to chicken place!

Most window ppl end up having an attitude which I will report. “Real good chicken. Only downfall is they don't seem to like white folks in there. I've waited on my food several times that was done and in window but the employees are rude and don't seem to enthused to be there. I was called out by cashiers a few times for not tipping on a carryout. Good food but rude workers.“
