“Oaky’s is out of the way near Grawn, but it’s worth the drive. Old timers knew the place as Giovanni’s Roadhouse, then Maddy’s Tavern. Both had ok food in a rustic building. Oaky’s owners have greatly improved the place. It’s large and airy inside, with a long wraparound deck outside. The food is mighty fine: the kitchen did a first-class job with our Smoked Turkey Club and Steak ’n Mushroom soup. The servers know their stuff and are a pleasure to deal with. The prices are a reasonable - indeed, they’re a buck or two lower per item than what you’ll find at competitors. And the parking lot isn’t the potholed monster like it was back in the old days.“

“Drinks and food were pricey ($36 after tip for a side Caesar salad and truffle fries), but expected due to this being a rooftop bar. A little confusing on how to order food. We snagged a table and waited for someone to come by, only to realize you have to get up and order at a kiosk. Drinks were good.“

“Veterans Day lunch at Applebee's with friends, one of whom is a Veteran. Applebee's management stopped by our table a thanked my friend for his service, comped his meal, and gave him a card for a discount on his next meal. The meal was excellent and we really enjoyed the atmosphere.“

“What a great find! Excellent brews and food. I was craving a good salad after having too much roadtrip food. The chicken salad did not disappoint. On top of that the staff was so welcoming and friendly. I’d definitely make this a regular if I came here regularly.“

“My Mom had the chili & black bean burger. She loved both! I had the French dip and I was great- the chips seemed homemade. A very quaint space too, but small so while we only waited about ten minutes, I would recommend reservations. Though there is plenty of shopping to keep you busy should you need to wait longer.“

“I stopped in for breakfast this past Saturday, May 18 and was so impressed with my server Nikki and the terrific Popeye omelet and cherry pancakes, I came back Sunday morning May 19 and had an equally terrific experience, courtesy of Rae, who served me an equally tasty Albuquerque omelet. Both Nikki and Rae were positive, professional, prompt and refreshingly upbeat. In an economy that is all too often focused on commodities, the service your team provided made the food, that much better. I'll definitely be back, the next time I'm in Traverse City and of course, recommend the Flap Jack Shack to people who are traveling there. Please pass my appreciation on to Nikki and Rae, as well as their manager, who has obviously been instrumental in creating a service-first team! ps. I asked Nikki for some chocolate syrup for my Cherry Pancakes and she cheerfully obliged. You should put it on the menu, it's the bomb!“

“Have been buying Asiago Roasted Garlic bread for years. Great Bread toasted loaded with real garlic cloves. However the last loaf lacked any Garlic at all. Very disappointed is this the new norm to be expected or was this an aberration? The latter I would hope otherwise we will be opting for a new bakery. Have a nice day ?☀️“

“This place was great! The bloody mary was delicious. We had the spinach dip with pita chips and tortilla chips. Tasted great. The wedge salad was so good. My husband had the chicken tenders and waffle fries which he thought were delicious. The wait staff were so friendly too. We will definitely be back!“

“The homemade ranch is amazing! The Cali club was great also. Fries are average, ghost pepper curds are good. Daughter had the pork belly special and it was really overcooked, and son didn’t really care for the chicken tenders. Overall “decent” food, but with a lot of choices, may not return.“

“Haven’t been in to Buckley bar in some time now, decided to brave my three small kiddos solo and get a quick bite to eat. Great service, great staff and Robin took it an extra mile and even carried all of our leftovers out to the car for us. Grateful to have such awesome people in this little town! You rock Robin 🤘“

We went to dinner at North Peak.
The pork chop with cherry sauce on top was scrumptious.
My wife had the delicious crusted chicken sandwich.
Our kids were happy as pie with their pizza and burger.
Our server Jack is a seasoned pro who was kind and attentive.

“I almost didn't come here due to the rating and reviews... maybe I just came on an off day, but my fam and I had a nice dinner here. Food was priced fine, we were seated immediately (630 on a Friday, fam of 4).
May was our server and she was awesome. Food was pretty solid as well (I had prime rib). My wife had pasta which she seemed to like. Our kids were hopped up on sugar so who knows.
Either way, management needs to focus on rebuilding their trust (encouraging people to leave reviews more) because while some of these reviews are recent, many seem to be from a time of when it was really bad I guess.“

“Came here for our Bachelor/ette party over labor day weekend and had a riot! The music was awesome, dance floor was great, food and drinks were phenomenal and their ranch is out of this world!! We had such a great time!! Highly recommended! 👏“

“We stopped here for breakfast after spending a weekend in Traverse City. The food was amazing. We had biscuits and gravy and the breakfast skillet. i highly recommend if you are in the area. We even offered for a young man who was by himself to join us. He was a local who eats there every Saturday and Sunday.“
