Very good fast food chicken. Their sides are tasty. Their red beans and rice were better than expected. For fast food, they got the flavors nailed down!
They have affordable family meal options. I first tried Popeyes last year during a layover at the Atlanta airport when time was tight. Very nice surprise! I will stop here whenever we're in Ionia.

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen offers a mixed dining experience. The service is generally good, with the staff being friendly and accommodating, even going the extra mile to correct orders. However, the food quality has been inconsistent, with some customers finding the chicken and other dishes lacking in seasoning and flavor, not meeting their expectations.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is described as nice, with the location appearing to be newly remodeled or newly opened. The fries are praised for their coating, and the coleslaw is mentioned as being different but still good. The red beans and rice are also highlighted as a high point of the meal.
On the other hand, some customers have had a poor experience, with issues like the french fries being served in the bottom of a bag, a delivery truck blocking the exit, and a staff member appearing irritated and agitated. Despite these mixed reviews, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen seems to offer a decent option for chicken in the Ionia area, though it may not be the top choice for all diners.
