Steak 'n Shake Reviews
The quality of our local steak and shakes have significantly improved along with the staff. Much cleaner, tastes better, and even seems more filling than it used to. On top of that the new company policies like banning microwaves, beef tallow for their fried goods, and grass fed beef for the burgers. Steak 'n Shake, a restaurant known for its burgers and shakes, appears to be navigating through some changes. The reviews indicate that the service has become less personal, with kiosks now being used for ordering and self-service for drinks. While the food, especially the burgers, continues to receive praise, the overall customer experience seems to have declined. The interior of the building is well-kept, but the exterior is described as "really run down."
Some customers report mixed experiences; while one enjoyed being greeted by "two smiling faces" and received their order in a normal time frame, others express frustration with the ordering process. One customer noted that they were forced to use a kiosk to order, and found that only one kiosk accepted cash, which was broken at the time. Despite these challenges, the food quality remains a highlight, with one customer stating they were happy with how everything came out, even appreciating the late-night atmosphere.
Overall, Steak 'n Shake seems to be in a transitional phase, working to improve but struggling to reach the level of customer satisfaction it once enjoyed. One employee, Kam, stands out for delivering excellent service and preparing great burgers.
