“what a sweet, chic little spot! stopped here because my best friend has been recommending it since they opened. was glad we were able to swing through on our way from traverse city to petoskey. we each had a drink - i had the pear one & my partner had the equivalent of an old fashioned. the space distills their own liquor and the staff were so knowledgeable about their products. the mixologists made lots of recommendations of drinks & also areas in the space to sit & sip. We opted for the back area that’s lofted and connected by a spiral staircase. it was quiet & secluded, yet connected. the music was good - black keys was a good vibe for the space. we also split the small cheese/cracker board, which was delicious. will def be back for something to sip slowly. the drinks were a little strong but delicious - something to savor, especially when it’s a stop along a driven route. def recommend swinging by!”

“Don’t skip this gem. Their burgers are absolutely delicious. Hands down among the top burgers I’ve ever eaten. Since discovering them, we have been back several times for more burgers. This place is a no BS dive bar with the sweetest bar dog, Lacey. I love a good dive and the tavern checks all the marks. Personally, it was my first time there, and I was not disappointed. The decor and view from the building was fantastic. Terri took great care of us, and also shared some great wine knowledge. She had such an inviting personality and made my experience great. If you have the chance to go, make sure you ask for Terri.

I had a flight of wines, carefully crafted and recommended to my personal taste. I tried the 2023 Crisp Sparkling, 2022 Riesling - Fernweh Vineyard, 2023 Rose of Pinot Gris, and 2023 Late Harvest Riesling. All of the wines I sampled were exceptional in taste.

We also shared a charcuterie board which paired nicely with our selections of wine.

“Would I recommend? Hmm. Our server was great ( I wish I got her name) but she was overwhelmed and they were under staffed. The food? Not great. Everything was overdone. The cornbread was dry. I ordered the seared tune salad and the tuna was more medium well. The music could have been a little more upbeat for a weekend. While we all ( a party of 6) ate our food, it wasn’t the greatest. It may have just been an off night, every restaurant has some. I felt bad for our server. She was such a sweetheart. She can’t control the cooking staff or management. Management needs to learn that they need to take better care of their staff to make sure that patrons experience is above satisfied. Will I come back? Maybe. But it might be a long while? Will I recommend? If someone asks me about I will be honest. Will I come out and say you have to go there? No. But I won’t discourage anyone from trying it.”
