“We LOVED the Reuben eggs rolls. My husband and I shared them and it was filling enough to be a meal for us. We each had a happy hour drink and so for the two of us, our total bill was $22. Not bad! We also got to sit outside by the “waterfall”. Bitter Tom’s is a great local restaurant.“

“I’ve been here before, but it’s been some years since that time. Tonight we came in with our 1 1 /2 yr old and the only thing I could ask for is to be more kid friendly. I asked the host tonight 3/27/25 if there were any extra balloons… my daughter could have while we had dinner and the host had to ask her manager & manager said no. Ok. 👍 cool. We have coloring books and sketch pads to keep her occupied, nothing from the restaurant and then my daughter had grilled cheese and fries come out and seriously piping hot. As a mom, I’m sorry, but her plate was so hot, fries and sandwich were so hot. How come the cooks couldn’t leave them out for a little bit of time before our meals came out or whatever… as a family restaurant you should have coloring crayons like other restaurants near by… and just simply be more kid friendly. It’s already hard enough to get out and specially as a family. I’m not sure after this experience that I personally will come back.“

While I miss the mushroom options thank you for introducing me to my love for sweet potato as both the wrap and bowl are delicious. Can’t wait to go back soon. “My wife and I have been coming here for several years and we have always enjoyed the delicious food and especially the wonderful service! The staff is incredibly friendly and always remembers us even after long periods between visits (such as COVID and having kids).
I'm not a sushi guy myself, but they have the BEST chicken katsu dinner! Fried to perfection, generous portion sizes leave me satisfied every time.
My wife loves the spicy salmon roll, and tries to convince others to get it at each opportunity.

“We recently visited Griffin Claw Clubhouse in Rochester Hills and had an excellent experience, thanks in large part to our server and bartender, Mae.

From the moment we sat down, Mae made us feel welcome. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and upbeat, guiding us through the menu with helpful suggestions and spot-on recommendations. Her understanding of the beer and food options stood out and really enhanced our evening.

We ordered the Pulled Pork Nachos, which were fantastic, and tried a mix of drinks including the Peach Geist, the Berserker, and the Screamin’ Pumpkin. Mae described them perfectly, and each one lived up to her recommendation.

Throughout our visit, Mae was consistently friendly, attentive, and proactive, making sure our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed, often before we even had to ask. She struck the perfect balance of being present without ever making us feel rushed.

The corner sells local products including T-shirts. There is a small seating area outside of you want to stay and enjoy your purchase. “Stopped in on a Wednesday around 5:45-6pm. Seated right away, the staff was really friendly. The sushi we ordered was the Christmas tree, rainbow, and I believe the rising sun? The last one I'm unsure on. They were all really good though! I would recommend all of them and I'm sure the rest of the menu is just as good.“

“After a rough day, we decided to lift our spirits with some ice cream and headed to Menchie’s.

The atmosphere was nice and inviting. There were a few people sitting and enjoying their treats, but it wasn’t busy at all.

I tried the pineapple coconut smoothie frozen yogurt, which is both gluten-free and vegan. Unfortunately, it didn’t hit the mark for me—it was really sweet and lacked strong pineapple or coconut flavors. I ended up giving it to the kids. I was hoping it would be closer to the pineapple flavor they had before.

Even though that flavor wasn’t my favorite, I would still recommend Menchie’s! This location was friendlier than the last one I visited, they have a good selection, and lots of toppings to choose from. I also appreciate that they charge by weight, so you can get as much or as little as you want.“

“I stopped by the Olive Garden in Rochester Hills recently, and honestly, it felt like stepping back in time. The place looks old … not in a charming way, but more like it hasn’t been updated in years. There’s definitely a sentimental side to it, especially for someone who used to love Olive Garden, but that feeling can only carry so far.

The chain’s overall quality seems to be slipping. From the service to the food, everything felt just… average. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. You can still count on the breadsticks and salad to do their job, but beyond that, the dishes don’t have the flavor or consistency they used to.

It’s a 3-star experience for me , mostly for the memories, not the meal.“
