“Good first time visit. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was really nice inside and had more of a restaurant vibe instead of a Bar so that was really nice. French Dip had a really good flavor and the BBQ Bacon Cheese Burger was cooked perfectly and was still juicy even though i said well done. The bun on the bugets and french dip held together nicely. Ribs where really flavorful and tender pulled the rib meet off with a fork. Pretzel bites and the deep fried cheese chunks where surprisingly good as where the nachos. Only complaint is the chicken we got was very dry and salad had only lettuce in it but besides it was a really nice first visit. Almost forgot get the homemade chips over the fries they are really tasty.“

“We normally like everything at Sideline’s but today ordered the shrimp fettuccine. Normally very good. Today it was so salty you couldn’t eat it. The manager came out a blamed it a the prep chef. They did offer to make another meal. The issue I had was they kept serving that sauce to other customers. Someone is going to get very sick.. I can’t believe a real chef would continue to serve that.“

“We went today for our first time for the Sunday brunch special and oh. my. goodness. They had everything you could want. Breakfast included quiche, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, kielbasa and eggs. Also pancakes and Belgian waffles. Brunch had homemade mac n cheesecake which was some of the best ive ever had. Turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, prime rib, ham. I mean i was literally in heaven. But the star of the show was definitely the turkey and the mac n cheese. Absolutely amazing. This is our new spot forsure ❤️“

“We had a birthday party here with about 30 people. Kim was so helpful and kind with the planning process. On the actually night, all our guests had delicious meals with fast service. Our waitresses were efficient and friendly the whole time. All the food is amazing. I've never had a bad meal here. This has become one of my favorite places to eat downtown. Go visit them, you won't be sorry! Fantastic food!“

“Chef Erika Rapp never disappoints and every visit to this wonderful restaurant reaffirms it as my favorite place for our Anniversary dinner. I look forward to the coconut, chorizo and sweet potato steamed muscles that she has had on the fall menu consistently for the last 5 years. And being Gluten Free the care Chef Erika takes to offer many delicious options, means I can always find the perfect meal. Last night the fish dish was perfection, from the perfectly cooked cod, to the savory and slightly sweet delicata squash puree to the textural elements of the crisp broccolini and the crunch of the pomagranate and pepitas. And the dish paired wonderfully with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc. After enjoying a basket of gluten free pop-overs (another favorite treat) and appetizers I was stuffed, but the dish was too delicious to leave even one bite on the plate. Our server Miranda was fabulous. Attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and added so much to our dining experience. I highly reccommend.“

“had the Sausage Gravy and Biscuits, Sausage Gravy was Average but the biscuits were from a can. When you can peel layers its from a can. you can do better than that. you could buy a flat of biscuits better than the canned version.“

“Hands down, my favorite restaurant ever. You just can't go wrong with a Big Boy, with tarter sauce on it, and a side of crispy fries. I have ordered the same thing every time since I was a kid. If I see a Big Boy while out doing things, I make it a point to stop in for a bite. They never disappoint. The service is always fast and friendly, and the prices are right!

“We visited on a Monday in mid-April 2025 for lunch.

This was a typical zoo restaurant. It's a grab and go. There are prepared foods on the side, both hot and cold. There are customizable stuff behind the counter and made to order. Expect it to be overpriced.

The loaded mac and cheese wasn't bad. The young lady behind the counter was making it for us when an older man (who I assume to be a manager) walked by and told her she was putting TOO much toppings in the mac and cheese so she stopped mid scoop with the bacon.

We got chicken tenders and fries which were both fine. We also got the prepared cobb salad. The lettuce on top looked fine but once we opened it and dug deeper, the lettuce were the harder and thicker stalks and more discolored. We still ate it because we were hungry but it did not look super fresh or maybe the salad sat too long in the back before packing it.

We also got the chocolate pudding and the jello. We all agreed the gummy worms in the chocolate pudding had a weird taste and off putting. The texture was also strange and unfortunately a lot of the flavor had leached into the pudding. The jello however was fine and those gummies were normal.

Condiments you grab on your own, self serve.

Cashier was nice and asked if we had membership, which we did and gave us the additional discount. It's nice when they ask because I forget sometimes with all the craziness going on.

The restaurant it self wasn't packed but there were 4 or 5 other groups in there with us. The place also was very clean and new looking. Not sure when this placed opened or renovated but it was very clean and modern. There are no tables to eat inside so we went outside to find a seat. There were no tables in the Kid's play place or neighborhood area so we walked around to where the hippo statues were to eat.

Even though the zoo website says no outside food, we were never searched and I swear almost EVERYONE we saw at the picnic tables had brought food in. Maybe it was locals who knew vs tourist. You can always leave and eat food in your car but it's just so inconvenient.“

This is a long ago favorite restaurant of mine and I recently moved back to the area after a 30 year absence. I am saddened to see it struggling. But yet stay the good and friendly place of my memories. Food was good, service kind and friendly and facility clean well maintained inside and out. “We went for dinner. I had the broasted chicken and my wife had the jalapeno burger. Both were excellent! The server was amazing. She showed us another couples country skillet and country fried steak that looked delicious. She even brought us a sample of their freshly made chicken noodle soup, which was as hood as any I've ever had. I could imagine it being perfect if I had a cold, or as a side with a meal. She also recommended the deep fried mushrooms, which we really liked. She told us the were fresh mushrooms, battered just before being deep fried. Finally, we took home a couple pieces of cherry pie and half of both our meals for a second meal the next day and a sweet dessert. We highly recommend Brendas, and are planning to go for breakfast this morning. We were so impressed with the bubbly, kind and perfect service that we left a $20 tip. Well worth the experience! Give them a try if your looking for a cozy homey place to relax and enjoy a meal. This is the longest review I have ever left, and I try to be impartial. It's well worth the short drive to Lewis and Samaria roads. Enjoy!“

This chicken tastes just like the kind I used to get at a place that closed called, "Woody's Just Chicken."
