“I've stopped in 3 times while passing through Lansing. Stobers is a must see place for any dive bar lover! The exquisite carvings are quite literally out of this world. Pickled eggs for a snack. Service with a smile. Great drink selection.“

“I've been going to the Avenue since before it was the Avenue. The owner was always so supportive of the local music scene and I admired that. The staff is always cute and sweet. I have never been disappointed in service there. The atmosphere is warm and inviting for everyone. At the Avenue I don't have to worry about me or my friends getting picked on because of our gender/sexual orientation or where we are from because the staff is very protective of their patrons and do not tolerate violence or bullying. I'm super grateful to have his gem in our town. I especially love that they have live music, all-ages shows every Sunday, AND that they serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages for the nights where I can't or don't feel like drinking alcohol. Chilling outside is fun too!!“

“Food was ok. I would eat here again, but it didn’t blow me away. The main feedback I have is that in their effort to be inclusive of children, they take it a little too far. As soon as we walked in the door, one of the male wait staff members grabbed my 2 year old and started walking away from us! Obviously I followed, and it turned out he was taking him to a giant toy stash to let him pick something out. I’m sure their intentions are good, but you are a stranger, you don’t just grab someone’s child and start walking away! This same employee interacted with my son a few times during our meal, and then as we were getting ready to leave, he was tickling him and massaging his shoulders…creepy. Needless to say I was ready to get my son out of there. Can’t tell if it’s just this particular employee or just their way of trying to be friendly but it was too much.“
