Mimi’s Nook Nigerian Cuisine offers food that is carefully prepared and sweet. The nkwobi, suya and meat pie na die, with flavors that remind of home and quality that is top-notch. The meats are very tender and easy for toddlers to eat. The jollof is amazing, with so much flavor and a good spice level, and the plantains were the best. The food is delicious and fresh, and you can tell it is home made and uses natural ingredients. The poundo with egusi soup tasted really great, and extra poundo was sold at a reasonable price: $5. The staff were helpful in guiding choices, the service was quite impressive, and the attendant was very respectful and kind. The owner is very approachable and has an awesome personality. The ambience was quiet and clean. The time it took for the meals to be ready was not bad and was adequately reflective of the time it takes to cook most African swallow meals compared to western meals. This has been amazing every time, and many travel 45 minutes past all the others to come here. Highly recommend.
