Really you are paying for the view and ambiance. The food was mid. It was average cafe food. I was expecting a real tea room, they only have one type of tea. Black hot tea. Not really worth the time here, there are better places to eat and enjoy.
I had Read reviews about this place that didn’t inspire me so we didn’t plan to stop here, but after being hot and tired walking around Fort Mackinac, we decided we needed to stop for a break. About 1130 on a Tuesday, they seated us right away. The lower patio with the umbrellas was probably more roomy and better shaded but the upper patio where we sat was just fine with an absolutely spectacular view. The lunch was good. We had the turkey sandwich and turkey wrap both came with kettle chips. It was just enoughThe tea you were able to choose which was nice.Great little stop with history!
