“Pleasant staff & very good food! This was our first time trying this place. Initial plan was to try The Cozy Egg in Mattawan but their waitress was not pleasant and after barking at us and the customer behind us for leaving the door open too long (being a gentlemen and opening the door for us) we left. Glad we gave Nanny’s our business & will be back!”

“We had Long Island’s and Mojito’s, both excellent. We ordered the Pub Tots with Chipotle Ranch dip, delicious!! I ordered the Ahi Tuna Bowl, fresh, seared perfectly and incredibly tasty. Our dining experience was made even better because of our server, Shannon. She is friendly, on point, and offered great suggestions from the menu. Definitely going back and asking to sit in Shannon’s section!!!”

“I had a little Mancino's Pizza shop in my hometown when growing up, so I kinda knew what to expect. However, this location that I've gone to since I came to the Oshtemo/Kalamazoo area in late '80s is amazing! You want a sub from the menu? Custom items? Soft or crunchy? How about a pizza? Custom and light sauce? Just cheese? Special diet? Buffet dining? NOBODY has been as accommodating as my Mattawan Mancino's Italian Eatery! NOBODY. Picky husband? Finicky wife? Kids that seem to never want anything or they pick at it until it's cold? BRING THEM HERE!! Friends coming from out of town, and you can only make last-minute plans? Mancino's will take care of you! They're definitely not like the bland national chain, and still not like the pretentious little 4-table eatery. Mattawan Mancino's has become my ONLY choice for about 30 years. Sauce isn't too spicy like they're trying to impress you, toppings aren't sad and lonely like they were dished onto the pizza with rusty spoons. To be completely honest, their quality and flavor outweigh their prices - I feel that I MORE than get my money's worth, even if I order delivery - and come on, I know that's rare. If you haven't yet, just try them. And if you HAVE had Mancino's Pizza, then I'm sorry if I steer more people their way and our wait is 10 minutes longer!

But please know, I'm actually a nobody who simply likes quality pizza and subs. I'm not getting paid by them, nor am I an employee or family member. But when I was asked by Google to review them? Oh heck yeah, there's just nothing like them around, and luckily there are a few locations near me.”

“Lake Burger on West Main is a real gem. The burgers are made from locally sourced, pasture-raised beef, and you can taste the difference. Everything feels fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The fries are hand-cut and some of the best I’ve had — crispy, flavorful, and not too greasy. Jake, the owner, is there every hour, making sure things are running smoothly and checking in with customers. It’s rare to see an owner that hands-on, and it really shows in the quality of the food and service. Jake’s a great guy, and his passion for his restaurant comes through in every detail. If you’re looking for a great burger in Kalamazoo, Lake Burger is the spot. Highly recommend!”

“I forgot to order a cake ahead of time and my son wanted an ice cream cake. I came into Menchie’s last minute, hoping and praying I could get a sonic cake made for him. I honestly didn’t think they would be able to do it but figured I’d try. I can’t remember who I talked to, but she was AMAZING! So helpful, super understanding, SO accommodating, she promised to have the cake made & ready in 24 hours. I picked it up this afternoon and it was the PERFECT sonic cake! My son said “my cake is the best cake ever” after his first bite! I’d say that’s a win! It’s absolutely delicious! I’ll be coming back for my daughters birthday(and a just because cake 🤷🏾‍♀️😂) Highly recommend!”

“Last night we tried Condado for the first time. We were instantly met with a smiling individual who sat us promptly. Breanna was our server and was an absolute delight. Breanna explained the menu and gave us fun info about the art work (which was one of my favorite parts!). All of the staff were cheery. The food was absolutely fantastic; the best carne asada I’ve ever had! Try the pineapple lemonade and smoked queso! We will absolutely be back and tell all of our friends! You guys are exceeding the industry standards!”
