“Joyful House is hands down the best Chinese food not only in Saline but in the greater Ann Arbor area. My family gets the same takeout order at least one night a month. Our relatives from out of town always want Joyful House when they come to visit! The food is always pretty expensive per dish but worth it. Every other local Chinese restaurants' dishes are bland and service is poor compared to Joyful House. Once you taste it you'll never want Chinese from anywhere else!“

“We have come to this restaurant many times and always have had a great meal. Tonight I tried something I never had before and it was a disappointment. It was the sweet and sour chicken. It had two small pieces of pineapple and 4 thin slices of carrot with a lot of chicken. There was a clear sauce which I believe was corn syrup but it could have been anything. Definitely not a sweet and sour that I imagined. I would not recommend this dish. I will go back to this restaurant and get something I have had before that was delicious.“

“Called in my order and halfway through, a kid picked up the phone — I couldn’t help but laugh. Right then I had a good feeling, and sure enough, the food was amazing.

The General Tso’s chicken was crispy, flavorful, and just the right amount of heat. The crab cheese wontons were golden and creamy, and the dumplings were fresh and full of flavor.

You can tell it’s a family-run place with heart. No fuss, just really solid food. Will come back“

“They have the best Chinese food in the area. The food is delicious and the prices are very accesible.
They only have two tables so it's more like a place to take out the food or gather in small groups.
I'm so grateful that I found this place 8 years ago or so, I stop by here at least once a week.“

Neither the condition of the tables or if the restrooms have disposable toilet seat covers concern me. Our food was excellent, portions very fair for the price, and ready 20 minutes, ordered online. Garlic beef, almond,
and general chicken on point. The 2 picky eaters with me gave praise also.“
