“My goodness! Oh wow! I’m absolutely surprised how yummy everything I ordered was. Our little boys taking ninja class at the martial art next door to this place. So we decided to give it a try. And that was it! Wow! Malcajete (spelling?) was so amazing, ginormous portion and everything in it was so yummy. Tongue taco was the killer!!!! ??❤️. Even the refried bean! I have tried couple Mexican restaurants, and most of the time, the bean was just alright. This place the bean was great!!!! ???❤️ yummy!“
“I wish I could give more stars. The service was amazing, the staff was very friendly and after placing my order the staff made sure to describe the flavor profile of the medium and hot salsa. Of course I tried both and they both were amazing. I will be coming back for more 100%. I got the street taco dinner with rice and beans, my protein for the tacos was lengua and it was cooked to perfection. Do yourself a favor and stop by for amazing food.“

“These tacos are amazing. Got three different kinds, steak, mahi and Korean BBQ to try all three totally different styles. Steak was cooked perfectly and matched with chimchurri sauce. Mahi had a few different elements that blended perfectly together. Mahi cooked excellent, crispy outside finish and soft inside. Korean BBQ had an awesome tang to it and complimented Korean very well. Staff is super friendly. Great prices too. I’ll be back!“

Some decent Mexican that can be an alternative to your go to around the area.Chips and salsa: they bring out mild salsa initially, so make sure you ask for hot or green if you want some different flavor. The mild was a bit sweet for my taste.Horchata: the large is huge, share it with your significant other or kiddos. Be aware that there are no refills on refrescas or horchata. Decent amount of cinnamon flavor, not overly sweet. Would get it again.Tacos: I had an al pastor, chorizo and lengua. lengua was tender and tasty. Al pastor was flavorful and slightly sweet from pineapple. Chorizo was a pass for me.My wife had a combination with mole sauce on an enchilada and that had a unique flavor. Nice change up for anyone wanting to try a mole sauce.Looks like they have specials on certain days of the week and I would say that can make it more affordable for those looking to save some money.“

“Never been here before, just passing through town working at the metro park picked up a "Small" BBQ Chicken Cajun. (The thing is huge and satisfying, able to share it and STILL had me wish I got a bigger pie.)Crust was amazingly fresh flakey, crispy and fluffy at the same time and just an amazing tasting bread. Couldn't let my coworkers say no to a piece after my first slice. They felt the same and this review was written with two brains, not just one. “The food was excellent well flavored and not hot which is more traditional Mexican Cuisine. Our server was Angel. He is warm, friendly and happy to answer questions. My house Margherita was divine. We are fajita quesadillas with chicken for me and steak for my husband. Both were delicious. We ordered a large bowl of guacamole and sour cream to top them off. The decore was a bit dated but that didn't hamper our dinner in any way. There's multiple TVs showing a varietyW stations. This would be a good place to watch sports. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.“

While El Guero Taqueria is a set of food trucks as a restaurant, it shares a physical location with De Norte a Sur Mexican Grill in Pontiac at a gas station. The owner, Brenda, is friendly, passionate, and makes some really great food! I would definitely recommend checking them out as it helps support a small business.“
