“I tried their pizza challenge. It was fun. The gluten-free pizza was good, too.

- Pizza 28” Challenge - $35: Super thin, but soft and fairly good.

The crust was dry, tough, chewy and was fairly plain. The pizza was easy, but the crust was very hard. I saved the crust for last (a tactic I learned from another competitor), but in this case, I think you need to eat the crust along the way so you don’t get tired of chewing it all at the end. Break it up.

I failed by one slice and almost all the crust I saved for the end. It sounds like the challenge is undefeated currently. Someone has to beat it. It is well within the possibility compared to other challenges out there. Though it is 28” and that sounds huge (it is huge), it is actually thin enough that it is still very much possible for those who train for it.

I’d have to guess it is 4 pounds. I weighed it at 3.5 pounds, but we couldn’t get it to balance well enough to take our hands off of it to get an accurate measurement. 28” is huge!!!

- Pizza 9” - $: Fits on a plate. My daughter ate it and reported it was good. The crust was plain.

- Cauliflower Pizza 12” - $: Except for the amount of cheese, it would have been my daughter’s new favorite gluten-free pizza.

- Service: Super helpful and cheerful. She was new, but it didn’t show at all. She was very proficient and amazing!

- Atmosphere: Clean. A bit on the darker side, but not bad. There is a higher ceiling and voices probably carry very easily. We didn’t experience that too much since we stopped by during a slow time.

- Conclusion: I’d certainly recommend this place for many reasons including the cheerful staff.

This is by far the best restaurant in the Grand Rapids area: we ordered the 5 course Chef's menu and each had something different from appetizers through desserts so we could taste all. “Myrth was a great experience! My partner and I went right at open on a Sunday. We were basically the only ones in there, which is surprised for how cozy it is. We had a Holland Harbor mocktail to start and it reminded me of an adult Hi-C! Very good! We ordered a Margarita Pizza to split at an Appetizer. The pizza was very delicious and the crust was soft and flaky. Sometimes wood fired pizzas can have a tougher crust, but this one was great except for a little softness in the middle where the oils and things pooled. It just made the first bite a little difficult, but the rest of the slice was killer! Next, we ordered two pasta dishes. My partner ordered the Radiatore. I have to preface that most of the time when we eat Italian and I ask my partner how the noodles are, they respond with "Okay" but Myrth managed to get a "Very Good" out of them! The sauce was super good. I ordered the Penne with Fennel Sausage and I took was impressed. The red sauce was light and very tomato forward. The sausage chunks were delicious. For dessert we had a Cappuccino and a scoop of Chocolate Sorbet. The chocolate sorbet was super chocolatey and dairy free which was awesome. It definitely curbed any sweet tooth that we had after dinner. The cappuccino was very good as well. I had never been asked if I wanted sugar in my Cappuccino before, and I panicked and said no. What came out was a very delicious, but not sweet drink. In the future I would order it with sugar to get that traditional Cappuccino feel. It was awesome I had the choice though! Our meal and tip was about $110 overall. Very affordable in comparison to eating at Olive Garden where I would spend the same amount of money and get very lack luster Italian food. The price and quality of the entire Farm to Table local Michigan Products made Myrth an enjoyable experience. We will definitely be coming back.”

They were having quite a night and were over seated for our reservation, but Sierra was fantastic and made sure we got our seats as fast as she could, and even came back to check on us several times and was very friendly. Brett, our server, went above and beyond, was super busy, but made sure to take good care of us! I’d definitely go back just because of these two! Great food was the bonus! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
