“I tried their pizza challenge. It was fun. The gluten-free pizza was good, too.
- Pizza 28” Challenge - $35: Super thin, but soft and fairly good.
The crust was dry, tough, chewy and was fairly plain. The pizza was easy, but the crust was very hard. I saved the crust for last (a tactic I learned from another competitor), but in this case, I think you need to eat the crust along the way so you don’t get tired of chewing it all at the end. Break it up.
I failed by one slice and almost all the crust I saved for the end. It sounds like the challenge is undefeated currently. Someone has to beat it. It is well within the possibility compared to other challenges out there. Though it is 28” and that sounds huge (it is huge), it is actually thin enough that it is still very much possible for those who train for it.
I’d have to guess it is 4 pounds. I weighed it at 3.5 pounds, but we couldn’t get it to balance well enough to take our hands off of it to get an accurate measurement. 28” is huge!!!
- Pizza 9” - $: Fits on a plate. My daughter ate it and reported it was good. The crust was plain.
- Cauliflower Pizza 12” - $: Except for the amount of cheese, it would have been my daughter’s new favorite gluten-free pizza.
- Service: Super helpful and cheerful. She was new, but it didn’t show at all. She was very proficient and amazing!
- Atmosphere: Clean. A bit on the darker side, but not bad. There is a higher ceiling and voices probably carry very easily. We didn’t experience that too much since we stopped by during a slow time.
- Conclusion: I’d certainly recommend this place for many reasons including the cheerful staff.
Visited on a Monday at 2pm.”

“Just ate there with my husband, daughter, and grandson. We had heard they had good food. Boy were the reviews right. We had a chili dog, corn dog, smash burgers, and regular fries, and chili fries between all of us. It was great food. The service was great. Everyone was friendly and having a good time. Great experience. Will definitely be going back there.”

“Our favorite restaurant no longer serves Manhattan style clam chowder and we are nothing less than heartbroken. We didn't realize that our favorite thing there wasn't popular enough to retain as a menu item when Leo's changed hands. We can live with the smaller lobster tails, but this is really hard for us to take. Cry.”

“This restaurant came recommend to me as the best steakhouse in Grand Rapids. I was not disappointed. The staff was friendly (Kathryn) and answered all my questions. The atmosphere is perfect for a fancy date. Very romantic setting to impress. I don't drink alcohol and they had an alcohol free 0% Giasen Merlot which was exquisite. I started with French Onion Soup and Cheese Popover Muffins. For an entree, I had Australian Rib Lamb Chops with a Mint Demi Glase. For a side, I enjoyed Brussels Sprouts with Honey Dijon Mustard Sause. Everything exceeded my expectations and the Merlot paired nicely with the Lamb Chops. I highly recommend the Chop House as a must visit dining destination in the heart of Grand Rapids.”

“I've been coming here off and on for the last couple of years and every single time I have been greeted with open arms and the best hospitality. Nice relaxing atmosphere and fun vibes. Always strike great conversation with whomever is working or visiting. The Kombucha is top notch and the "Sound Experience" on certain Thursday's are phenomenal. Check it out!”

“My wife and enjoyed our 55th anniversary with dinner at Amore'. Chef Jenna visited every table in our area and asked about every course we ordered. This is by far the best restaurant in the Grand Rapids area: we ordered the 5 course Chef's menu and each had something different from appetizers through desserts so we could taste all. From the waiter, the live music, our beverages, and Jenna's attention paid to all, the best meal ever.”

“Ginza made for a nice dinner after an evening out. I tried a California roll and their tonkotsu ramen. Both were good, but the noodles for the ramen were just slightly overcooked. The flavor of the broth was excellent and deeply savory, however, and the toppings were good. I guess it evens out. It’s a good spot for noodles or sushi, and they have a menu with some decent variety. It’s definitely worth a try if you like either of those foods.”

“The quality of the food from Thai Table is a step above the other Thai food options in GR. The curries are delicious and complex, the pad thai actually has authentic fish sauce, and all of the ingredients are fresh and tasty. I tried their spin on yakisoba recently and was shocked by how good the vegetables in the dish were - I'm so used to frozen vegetables being used in these kinds of dishes that having good-quality fresh ingredients made the dish stand out compared to what we get from other restaurants in the area.”
“I went picked Brass Ring Brewing to celebrate my birthday with my family. I choose Brass Ring because I was interested in trying their cask ales. What I found at Brass Ring was a level of customer service that I have rarely found across the food service industry. We showed up at Brass Ring to find that a very large group was dining there, taking up a majority of the seating. They don't take reservations, so it was going to be a challenge finding a table for our group of 6. The owner heard the staff struggling to find us an available table. He jumped in and found a solution. He personally asked a couple that was seated at a large table if they would be willing to move. They graciously accepted to make room for us. This level of customer service has obviously been trained into the entire staff because our waiter was the most helpful and hospitable server I've ever encountered. Firstly, he was extremely knowledgeable of food and drink menu, helping us to navigate it superbly. He also got the entire restaurant to sing "Happy Birthday" with us when it was time for dessert. The food and drinks were top notch, but the customer service was out of this world. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the Brass Ring. You will not be disappointed!”

“Was in tonight for dinner in GR on the front patio with a couple girlfriends and we were approached by a homeless man who tried to grab our bags. I’m reaching out to praise your manager and the rest of the staff for taking our concerns seriously and jumping into action. Top notch team you’ve got there. You were already a go to spot for us, but even moreso now. Thank you for a great spot, delicious menu, and for making your patrons safety a top priority!!”

“We came across this restaurant driving by from out of town. We decided we wanted to stop somewhere we have never been before. This place did not disappoint. The food was amazing, outdoor dining was great, and we love the activities outside. I can’t wait to come back on a weekend.”
