“I had my bridal shower at Kate’s Downtown this Spring and it was absolutely perfect!! Kate was beyond easy to work with and her staff the day of were so accommodating with helping with whatever I needed. I have no words to describe the food, but I will continue to come back for it! “We come to Maria’s whenever we’re headed to Lexington for a day trip. Today was no different! However, it’s our first time with our youngest. He’s newly one and definitely has a voice! As any baby, his voice cannot be tamed nor controlled because we’re in a public setting. While waiting for our breakfast, he started to get loud and antsy - probably hungry since we already drove an hour from home. A gentleman at the restaurant was simply not okay with the noises and very loudly and abruptly yelled for us to quiet him down. The entire restaurant fell silent. Everyone looking over at us but with complete sympathy, reassuring us he’s just a baby and there’s not much we can. And how appalled they are someone would ever make a comment. Still continuing to try and keep his voice down with anything on the table that I possibly can, he yelled again. & the man a second time, yelled “QUIET!!” At this point, I of course broke down. I’ve never been out in public and someone yelled at me to get my 1 year old to stop making noise. I’m also not a parent who doesn’t care and let’s their kids do whatever. We were trying all we could because we also are respectful of others dining. This is where I need to say how much I appreciate the staff and Maria herself. All the employees were coming up to me, giving me a hug. Trying to console me. Brought suckers for my boys. Maria wouldn’t even let us pay for breakfast, which we wouldn’t let but she insisted! People at other tables were coming up and talking to us and letting us know how unnecessary the comments were. To Maria, staff and all the people who showed us kindness, thank you. Thank you for understanding. Thank you for letting me know you’ve all been through it at some point. Thank you for reminding me that a baby is a baby. Your kindness will never be forgotten. “Large portions of delicious food, my family is never disappointed . Tortellini Alfredo was excellent, as was the garlic bread and ranch dressing. Veal parmesan was enough for four meals ! Pumpkin roll sundae and strawberry shortcake were excellent. I will definitely be back !”

“We ordered a Perry the Platypus cake and it was executed perfectly! The design was spot on and the buttercream was absolutely delicious 🙂 The only small hiccup was that my son’s name was spelled with one letter off on the cake board. It was an easy fix for me, and definitely didn’t take away from how wonderful the cake was! Just wanted to mention it as a friendly reminder to double-check names. Overall, we were super happy and will definitely order again!”

“My kids and I stopped in for the first time today! We were so excited about a new sushi place, and we were not disappointed! We tried the wicked tuna roll, sweet home Alaska roll, and the Christmas morning roll of the month. All of them are delicious! I'm not usually a huge fan of raw fish in my sushi, but I very much enjoyed all three of these rolls. Our family will be back for more, for sure!”

I ordered a Steak Grinder and got a Cowboy Grinder. Ordered a Chef Salad and the lettuce was wrong and no meat! What the heck is going on?? Can they not read what ingredients go on stuff? With the prices I should get what I paid for! I spend $75 today! We live 45 minutes away, guess I should have checked everything 🙄 before we left. Not going there again!! Will drive to Lapeer, they always get it right!”

“We were staying at a campground in Oxford and I did a search for dive bars and found this one about an hour away. We were greeted by the bartender Rhonda (Big Bird) who is very friendly and knows how to pour a good drink. Prices are great ($3 for well drinks). The bar has a lot of history and we got to meet the son of one of the original owners.”

“This is my second time at Anne's Diner. Both times our meals were amazingly good. I recently moved nearby, so it is convenient to be so close to Anne's Diner. Tonight my 10 year old great grandson had chicken tenders and fries and he raved about how good it was and gave it a 10/10! He wants to come back for breakfast. I enjoyed a delicious Chicken Parmesan dinner. The service was outstanding and the business was very clean. We have definitely found out new favorite diner in " Anne's Diner".”

“I've been to this place since I was three! Mom and dad really enjoyed burger king until they got food poising.mom and dad would go a few times and they'd let me in the playplace it was really fun and it's been really fun but now sadly I'm too old for playplaces but I guess that's ok because the playplace is sticky but surprisingly they keep the playplace really clean which is what most places fail to do. Pretty cool place definitely let your kids play!”

I was back there this evening for some drinks, and Carla went above and beyond for our group. She was absolutely amazing. Her personality was the icing on the cake.
