The owner did reach out to me to apologize and offer cleaning/replacements for my clothing. They also spoke with the staff to make a training and learning lesson for them which I appreciate. I’m changing my rating of the experience based on Owen’s response, as most owners do not attempt to rectify a bad situation.

I have never had an experience as bad as the one I just had at Firebird Tavern. Needless to say I will never return or recommend this place to anyone. The visit started well and our server was very pleasant and attentive. Halfway through our visit, a full tray of drinks and shots was spilled on me to the point that a mop was needed and a wet floor signed was placed behind me. Not only that, but my white shirt is stained and not reparable. I was soaked. The server eventually did apologize to me and told me that she was personally comping ONE of my drinks. First of all, I would NEVER expect the server to comp any drinks. Second of all, I was never approached by the manager to access the damage or talk about comps, WHICH I would assume from the establishment itself. When we were brought our bill, I asked the server, ‘what is the establishment taking care of for my damages’. The manager eventually came to talk to me and did not seem aware of the situation, even after many servers explained what happened and I showed him my clothing that was still wet and stained. He simply replied that the server was comping one drink and he would see what he could do. The server came back with the same bill, no initiative from the bar or manager and I paid for the bill as it was. How is this acceptable from a bar that my table paid several rounds of drinks and food for the night? I have never experienced this lack of care in my life and cannot express my disappointment and frustration with the management and overall experience of Firebird. What an embarrassment to our city. As a resident of the downtown area, I would never expect such a terrible experience.“

“Originally from Michigan but now live in Florida. Went to Detroit for the weekend to attend Red Wings games. Looked for perch dinners and found Andrew’s. Absolutely awesome perch with a generous portion. Loved the atmosphere of the old time era. Staff exceptionally friendly as was the owner. Would definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to return. What I liked was the minimal breading so you have the true taste of perch. This is by far the place to go if you love perch.“

“The service is top notch. The food is delicious. The beer is cold. The vibe is good. What else could you ask for? This small Irish-style grille and pub is suitable for almost any mixed group: family, friends, colleagues. Wimpy's 3 slider basket was more than just 3 sliders -- the spiders were juicy and cooked to order; the hand cut fries were exceptional. And paired with a local beer, the entire meal was a hit. Service was attentive and responsive. This place is no joke! I've found a new favorite spot in Detroit.“

“I like to go here for brunch on Sundays. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable. They have a large selection of food covering everything from your traditional breakfast to high end brunch items. The staff is friendly and service quick. LaShay (sp?) is especially awesome at making you feel at home and service. TVs surround the restaurant so you can catch up on last night's action and look forward to today's games. “Sit and be served! I ordered the medium rare Cajun burger, cooked to perfection. The French Onion Soup my partner ordered was so flavorful, I'm pretty sure I ate half of it. I've been searching for this perfectly crafted French Onion! Quiet Monday evening atmosphere, filled with regulars, good music, and a great staff. Definitely recommend, will be back.

“Went randomly on a Saturday afternoon, very pleased we did. Our server was very kind and attentative. The food was really good everything seemed fresh. Popcorn chicken and wings for the kids were huge portions. Family raved about the ribs, and all food was delicious too.“

“Yesterday we celebrated my grandpa's 92nd birthday and Cramdon's catered the event. The man and woman who were there were troopers, bbq'ing and setting up in the heat. All of the food was very good and the price was very reasonable. We would definitely do this again. Thank you Cramdons! Cheers.“

“This place just reopened, and oh my goodness. First of all, the owner, Nikki, is fantastic. She's very welcoming and the atmosphere she's created here is outstanding. There's TVs lining the walls, a great stereo system with good bass, and very good music at all times. That's not even the best part, though. The Chef knows what he's doing! You can tell he has a passion for his craft, and it shows in his dishes. I had a steak today that was to die for. I wish I'd taken a picture (sorry readers) but that steak was so good I couldn't bring myself to stop eating and pick my phone up to take one. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.“
