This is one of those places where you just know most of their daily business is from the community, and the staff probably knows most of the customers names.My waitress was named Julia and she was both witty and pleasant. “I met up with my family at On the Rocks for Tuesday $1.00 burger night and the food was very good. They have awesome fried rice there too. Everyone in our party really enjoyed the food. The staff was great. They genuinely cared about the service they were delivering. We will definitely be going back there again!“

“Want to give a review for Chloe S. I came in with my grandparents and niece along with my 2 children, 3yrs. old and 8 weeks old. She sat us outside under the awning and was a great experience. We received some of the best service I have ever had and I wanted to recognize her. Sabrina was very personable and very, very attentive to our needs. “My wife and I ordered the “Fish & Chips” When I tell you we have found our new spot for Fish in Taylor “We found our new spot” The fish was fresh & flakey, batter was light and crunchy, the tartar sauce had a good amount of relish in it. Not all mayo! Our dinner also came with soup, (3 to choose from) chicken noodle, lemon rice, and clam chowder. We chose clam chowder, very flavorful & packed with clams. This spot is right down the street from my grandkids house. I have been there many times with them but I did not put two & two together when we ordered our carry out. (Door Dash) Now that we know, you can count on us being repeat offenders. Thanks for the great meal we will still be in with the grands for Sunday breakfast lol. 5+++“

“The food is delicious! The last two times we went here we waited a long time to order. The waitresses were all talking by the register. Then came the long wait for the food. People who came after us were served. This second visit we had a sandwich and an omelette. There was no reason to wait 25 minutes for the food. We were really considering leaving. Then we were going to take some food home but since our waitress didn’t come by, we decided to just pay and leave. We’ve been going to Pipers for many many years, but after the service we received the last two visits, it will be awhile before we come back. This is sad because the food is really good. The restaurant only had 5 tables with people and there were 4 or 5 people hanging around the register.“

“Went there for lunch today. They were super short staffed, but other than the wait for the table, you couldn't tell. The wait-staff was amazing, even if there was only THREE for the whole place. The manager Katelyn (spelling?) did a great job setting expectations on arrival about wait times and was just over all pleasant. Thanks again!!!“

Had a outstanding sandwich named the Smokestack OMG. Corned Beef, Ham n Turkey on Toasted thick Greek Bread with Cheese and sauce. A true gut stuffer, could barely finish it. “The hosts are great. Maddie is really kind and made me feel welcomed into the restaurant. I loved my waitress, Haleigh, she was quick and very kind. Gavin is very hard working and keeps the place real clean. Everyone were so hard working and I appreciate the cooks who did a great job on my meal. “Went with some people, it had good food but they forgot my fries. Only problem I had was that they brought out 3 out of the 4 dishes and left one of us without food for a solid 15 mins, only after my individual complained did they get their food. Really loud and packed place if your up for that, not a bad spot to eat.“

Arielle who was the event coordinator was extremely thorough and accurate in all her communications. Day of event went perfectly and the service was top notch.“

“Great Food-Fantastic staff! Always comes to the table at the right temperature! It’s a small building but they push out the food! The kitchen always listens carefully to special orders/requests! Came in yesterday (Sunday) and I told the waitress “they made it exactly how I wanted it-it was delicious” -and she said “they better! I put them on notice!!” ?? Everyone seemed happy to be there, and I heard the waitstaff saying goodbye to each other at shift change-and all were so sweet to each other. No catty drama. “I have seen this place online but I am seldom in the area. Saturday my friend and I stopped for lunch. We sat near the front of the building so I had a chance to look the place over. Retired USMC, I know what clean is and this is clean, clean, clean. We each had a variation of their cheeseburger, and both were cooked exactly the way we asked for. Tender, juicy, delicious. We both agreed one of the best burgers we have had in many years. Anxious to go back and try more of their menu. Great service and everyone was "small town" kind of friendly.“
