“I'm going to have to keep this short as I have a endless supply of kind words about Hidden King. This place is the definition of hidden gem. The service was absolutely amazing, the inside looks like you're traveling into this super secret club with games at every table. Mark (the owner) is such a chill guy to talk to and very much approachable along with the rest of the staff. The drinks are also absolutely amazing. They have a bunch of creative spins to all of their drinks. If you also don't want to drink they have an assortment of teahaus teas that you can grab too. This place is just such a hidden gem and such a cool place to be.

“What a gem! Echelon is truly an amazing experience! In fact, our experience was so remarkable, we ate there twice while in town. The restaurant is gorgeous, a real feast for the eyes that gives a significant nod to the building’s rich architectural past while pulling a warm art deco design in a space fitting for an architectural magazine. As amazing as the space was the entire service and food team. Our servers – Jenn on night one and Ella on night two – were so friendly, knowledgeable and everyone went above and beyond to ensure our experience at Echelon was something we would never forget (and we won’t!). We even got visits from the kitchen with Chef Joe VanWagner coming by to greet us, expediter and professional forager Marc Jacob Qualls-Sanchez coming by for a long session on his foraging expertise (amazing!), and even their new tiki bar (coming soon!) manager Max giving us the DL on that space and renovations. We felt like royalty! For a special treat above and beyond the food, service, and overall experience, the Echelon team passed around menus that night to have all the front and back of house staff autograph it for us! “Staff makes this establishment. Fast and courteous with just the right amount of follow up. Food was good, but had already cooled off by the time it made it to the table. Hard to believe based on how fast it was ready and our proximity to the kitchen.
Other visits at their Detroit location motivated us to try this location.
Lastly, more attention needs to be given to the washrooms. Busiest time of the day and the garbage was overflowing all over the floor and out the door.“

“Went out here last weekend with a couple friends after work. The place has a laid-back vibe, not too loud, not dead either, which I liked. Bartender was friendly and didn’t rush us even when it got a little busy. Drinks were solid and priced about what you’d expect for the area. I tried a whiskey cocktail and it was made well, nothing fancy but done right. Seating was comfortable and we were able to actually talk without yelling. It’s the kind of bar you could come back to for a casual night or to watch a game. Overall, a pretty decent spot.“

“TLDR; TBP is a very intimate venue with excellent shows. (@Steve Hoffstetter) The Blind Pig did a great job managing our ADA/accommodation and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Regardless of your disability, (or lack of disability), if you have a chance to visit The Blind Pig- do it! You won’t regret it. They went above and beyond, (where so very many other businesses fail) was with our accommodations; as my mother used a cane to get around after breaking her hip. While yes, they legally are obligated to because of the ADA, however, where some places do the bare minimum, like leave people hanging, or make them feel like a burden for asking, TBP makes you feel truly welcome. Faith made sure my phone calls were returned in a very timely fashion (I purchased the tickets a day and a half before the show- she was definitely on it, to respond so quickly with care). Our seats were marked reserved, there were multiple people who could direct us where to go and who to contact (if needed) upon arrival. There’s been something that happened in our family several months ago that hasn’t brought joy to any of us; and seeing my mother relax and laugh, like she hasn’t done in months, made the extra night special. Thank you Faith, Molly, and all the other employees of TBP for making it a truly memorable experience. I can’t wait to see another show there. 💕“

“We went here for our anniversary and were very pleased! The space has great natural lighting and feels bright and airy, but also comfy and inviting. They told us a 20 minute wait for a table or we could sit at the bar, so we chose the bar and I'm glad we did, bc the service was quick and very good! I had inquired about another woman's lavender cocktail and it was one of their sangrias and he let me have a little sample(wasn't bad, but not my jam for a whole drink). We had several other really delish cocktails tho! We started the food with the olive sampler, some gazpacho and potatas bravadas topped with an egg(add the egg for $3, trust me!)! All came at the right time and really good! We actually ordered our paella first bc it said it could be up to 45 minutes, and it came when we were finishing our tapas, so perfect timing! We got the shrimp and blue crab one and it was really good! And it just so happens that Sunday is 25% off all paellas, so extra bonus! I would definitely recommend this place.“

Lived in AA for nearly three years and only discovered this spot after moving away and revisiting. It’s super cool. The courtyard at the back is like something out of a small New England town, maybe even Europe. The system of ordering and having your order called out on a loud speaker was pretty unique, and the overall ambiance was incredibly lively. This spot had a bit of that pre-modernized authentic Ann Arbor feel, before all the chains and big businesses took over. The food was decent too and drinks were perfectly crisp.

From the planning process to day-of execution…everything exceeded our expectations. I want to give a special shout-out to our waitress, Melina H. for being so efficient. professional, and so kind/patient in taking care of our entire large group of 19 people. The buffet selections and made-to-order omelettes met the needs of our party perfectly as well! The music wasn’t too loud, so we could actually talk without yelling the whole time, which I appreciated. Drinks were decent, not the best I’ve ever had but def not bad either. Bartender seemed a bit busy but still managed to be nice and check in on us. Place got more crowded later on, but it still felt comfortable. “We stopped into The Blue Leprechaun to snag a quick bite to eat before we left Ann Arbor. The place was pretty empty when we got there as it was kind of late, I had my two girls with me. Jay was amazing, treated us like family, played with the girls while they waited for food, did his best to accommodate all three of us. Just an amazing overall experience which I expect nothing less from anything that Perry has his hands on. highly recommend this place anytime that you're in Ann Arbor. “First time eating at 4M Venue. Fantastic service and delicious food. Tried the Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich. Husband had the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. The manager came by our table and told us about the restaurant, food and events. 10/10. Highly recommend!“
