“First visit in years..not so great in the past. Well, now I can attest the quality of every thing that makes an outstanding food experience exists at Mac's! My server Aly was top notch as well..I ordered a classic burger and fries,bread pudding,( which I never liked until I had theirs) and a Moscow mule. When she returned with my items, I felt like I was in a Michelin restaurant. Burger ( rich meaty flavorful, delicious) med/ rare was perfection..fries, ( ditto..service.. impeccable.I walked out feeling like a queen. ( I am a private chef of 50 years and particular about food.) Well done Mac's! 5 +stars!“

I’m a craft beer guy and I have made it a point to visit every small brewery that I can while out and about in our great state. Mothfire Brewing is by far one of the best breweries I’ve ever been to. Today I'm down in the westside of Ann Arbor and this new restaurant Ricewood BBQ, OH MY GOD!!! On the recommendation of the lady behind the counter I got the Brisket bowl with sesame cucumbers, pickled onions and the spice was medium. A "real", in my opinion BBQ place, you even smell the smoke from the wood smoker walking up. I went to the one on North Maple and by far the best lunch I've had all summer!!!“

“Good place to eat and get a beer. Anthony was our server and did a good job. My artichoke dip came out without the dip but Anthony quickly fixed it. And it was really good. The girl at the door seating everyone seemed really odd. I told her we needed two seats. She grabbed the menues and silverware. We followed her to our table. She put the items on the table and left without saying a single word to us. I usually expect them to say follow me or tell me who will be our server. She didn’t say a word. Seemed mad. But it is a beer and burger place. Maybe I expect too much of people.“

“Went out here last weekend with a couple friends after work. The place has a laid-back vibe, not too loud, not dead either, which I liked. Bartender was friendly and didn’t rush us even when it got a little busy. Drinks were solid and priced about what you’d expect for the area. I tried a whiskey cocktail and it was made well, nothing fancy but done right. Seating was comfortable and we were able to actually talk without yelling. It’s the kind of bar you could come back to for a casual night or to watch a game. Overall, a pretty decent spot.“

However: when ordering takeout: When we order the mild it lacks the flavor punch. But when we order medium it’s on the border of what we can handle heat-spice wise. When ordering takeout there is no other option. And putting it in the comments is hit-or-miss. Would be good if medium actually worked for flavor and a nice bit of heat, that is not on the uncomfortable edge.“

“I dined with my 4 year old & two 13 year olds. We all shared two baskets of fries, a Club and a tenders app. Including a beer & Pepsi the total only $50. The real 5 ⭐️ goes to the service staff. I’ve truly never experienced better. My toddler dropped her water glass which shattered under our table. Before I knew what had happened the staff were at our table to help. We stood out of the way where someone helped me dry her pants & replaced her water. The staff cleaned the mess then moped/dried the floor within ~3 min. It was AMAZING. Thank you!!“

Once I managed to spill my *entire* drink all over the ground while trying to stab the straw in (I am also baffled as to how I managed to do that), and they were very kind about it and remade my drink then mopped up the spill.“

How do your recipes literally taste like liquid form of what you’re advertising them to be? Banana bread latte? You can’t convince me you didn’t blend a piece of banana bread in there. Campfire chai? I’ve literally been transported to a pumpkin farm surrounded by colorful leaves with a campfire in front of me. If your business were ever struggling you give me a call because I would sustain that place and buy 100 coffees a day if that meant the world would continue to be blessed by your existence. Don’t tell me it’s the quality of syrups or espresso, I KNOW the magic you use behind that counter to make your coffees so good. It’s called love. The seating was quite nice with a view of a pond right outside. The ducks and geese made for a wonderful view.
