“We have eaten here twice now, while picking up our daughter at UMICH. Both times the food was excellent! Also have to give a big shout to our server Cathy, who waited on us for both visits. She was very attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes and made great suggestions for us as we learned the menu. Highly recommend Slurping Turtle!“

“This hibachi restaurant is incredibly delicious! Move over Benihana’s! The soup and salad were excellent; the freshness of the lettuce and the tastiness of the soup hinted at the deliciousness to come.? The service was fantastic, the restaurant was clean, and the chef was engaging. A must-try for hibachi lovers!!!? ?“

“The most authentic and scrumptious sushi in Ann Arbor, far yummier than the others . This place is above and beyond in freshness and taste. I had reached a somber plateau in my journeys through sushi restaurants. The place seems family run and they may be Japanese , which doesn’t seem to exist in Ann Arbor. I don’t mean to say that Japanese don’t exist here , I mean sushi spots that are run by Japanese owners seem rare or nonexistent in this town hence the lack of meticulously crafted yummy freshness. Staff are super dooper friendly. Now I regret not ordering more and I will proceed to cry in a soft whimper.“

“Coming from Jackson, this is the best sushi I have had in Michigan so far. Great, friendly, fast service. This place goes under the radar because it seems like a lunch spot for office workers. On a Saturday it’s quiet, calm, and serves well-made rolls. The chef seems talented. If you’re used to eating a few specialty rolls, watch out because these are generously made. My kind of place.“

“One of the best sushi places in Ann Arbor. Prices are reasonable, the servers are so nice and the quality of the sashimi is good. I order takeout from them often and have never been disappointed. The uni and hamachi in particular are always great. The only thing I wish they’d pay attention to more is their sushi rice. It’s overcooked and can feel dense and gelatinous as a result. It also doesn’t have a good balance between rice vinegar, salt and sugar. I’ll still order often, but if they can nail this very important detail, it would push them to the top of my list for sushi in Ann Arbor“

“Consistently good. Lots of great meals to choose from. The bento boxes for lunch are a big favorite, you get lots of food and a wide variety - a nibble of this, a few bits of that. It's fun. We keep coming back, this is my office's #1 choice for lunch.Vegetarian options: Most dishes have seafood or meat, but there are enough vegetarian options and they are delicious.“

“Great little sushi spot! Extremely impressed with the quality of the food for the price. $26 bucks for 2 salads and 3 rolls that were filling, delicious, and overall very satisfying. Service was excellent. Waitress was attentive and kind, as were the chefs. I would highly recommend this spot.“

“Came here on a chilly night which is why I ended up ordering the dumpling soup. The size of the bowl was alright for an appetizer and it came with two pieces of dumplings. The dumpling itself is fairly large but I was also hoping there would be more than just two dumplings. This is alright for an appetizer but would probably not order this again. I also got the Totoro tower which I enjoyed more than the soup. The tower was pretty filling, super flavorful, and I really like how they plated this dish with the layers of sauces. Came here during Umich's spring break so it wasn't busy and service was quick. Normally it can be pretty busy and we would have to wait 30min-1hour.“

“Had dinner with my wife and son and was absolutely amazing! We had so many options that we couldn't decide what to get. We ordered what we thought would have been more than enough. But to our surprise we ate everything. I've had lots of sushi and this was simply some of the best I've encountered. Delicately sliced sashimi with a hint of raw jalepeno....oh and ponzu. Fresh ingredients , great service , and Atmosphere made this a life long memory for us after a wonderful day in Ann Arbor. Thank you!Parking: Easily accessible and in close proximity to the front entrance.“

“Comfy little spot. Wonderful food. Very friendly staff and good sized sushi portions. I visited while in town for the Christmas holiday. I needed to get away from the family for abit (and the high calorie food) so this was a much needed sanity break. Would definitely go back the next time I'm in A2!“

“We've been coming to Sadako since 2004, and it's hands down the best sushi in Michigan. The tuna here is the freshest and best tasting I've had in the states and their rolls are generously sized and inexpensive. It's even worth the hassle of navigating downtown Ann Arbor during move in week like we're doing right now.“

“After rebranding and management change I am giving a five star to Azalea. Service was excellent and food was much better than oram.My recent visit was very disappointing. When we were seated, we noticed table was sticky. The food was not good at all it felt like it was heated in microwave rather than cooked after order was taken.“

“I ordered sushi for delivery from Nagomi last night and was pretty impressed with the quality for the price. The menu is huge and a bit overwhelming - there are tons of rolls on offer, both specialty and traditional, as well as plenty of korean dishes and japanese dishes (like katsu) and hot pot. Slightly overwhelmed with the options, I chose two speciality rolls - one being the "Salmon on the beach" which came with avocado, cream cheese, and crab meat wrapped with salmon, flame torched - $8.50. I thought this roll was excellent and very large for the price. At under $10 it's much cheaper than speciality rolls at any other places in A2. The second roll I ordered was another one of the staff recommended rolls and was quite a bit more expensive at $16. It was called the "Jewel" and contained shrimp tempura, crab meat, avocado, and cucumber wrapped with tuna, salmon, and snapper topped with 3 kinds of tobiko, spicy mayo, eel sauce, spicy mayo, and wasabi mayo. It was definitely a large roll and was honestly even a bit difficult to eat as a result. It was tasty but idk if I'd order it again given the price and how the size created quite a mess when trying to eat it. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not but they also included some banchan in my bag for delivery which was a nice touch although none of the banchan were very good in my opinion. Not a bad option for sushi in the area but will keep searching.“

“Pan-Asian spot tucked away on the SW end of Ann Arbor, right off 94. My husband and I go here occasionally largely out of convenience because it's really close to us! Never have a problem getting a table - it's usually just the right amount of busy. Plenty of parking on site. I think they might share ownership or have an arrangement for ingredients with next door Asian market Tsai Grocery. Now I'm not usually a huge fan of Pan-Asian restaurants (as I generally think if you're doing it all, you're not necessarily doing it well), but Godaiko has some interesting/creative fusion-y twists on their menu. It really is a choose your own adventure type of place. You could visit multiple times and have a completely different type of meal and experience each time. Last night we were feeling like sushi, and throw in some crispy chicken sliders, why not. (The sushi isn't the best around, but it's good.) Some of my favorite menu items I've tried: - Lettuce Wraps! Generous amount and not too salty (which I find with other places' lettuce wraps); pineapple is a nice addition - Beef Maki; very flavorful - Sushi Tuna Nachos; unique and I like the thin taro chips - Kobe Cheese Burger; the Asian part of this is in the dressing/sauce, a pretty decent burger if that's what you're feeling like - Shrimp Tempura Udon; crispy tempura (served on the side) and a clean tasting broth - Bento Box; one of these can feed 2, it's a lot of food! Decor and ambiance is nice, and kind of fun with Asian art pieces on the walls and ceiling (look up!). Service is good. Full bar (beer, wine, liquor, sake, cocktails) with a daily all-day drink special. Some of their cocktails are interesting as well - one time tried a lychee saketini and enjoyed. Usually I stick with beer, wine, or sake though. Food portions and drink pours are generous!“

“I've probably ordered from this place over 20 times and I never had a bad dish here. The miso soup is always sooooo good and they're very thoughtful with their packaging so your soup doesn't spill or your sushi gets crushed. One of the best sushi places around this area!!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian rolls, dishesParking: Parking is a little hard to access especially when it gets busy“

“This was my first time here and I'm pretty sure this is going to easily become my favorite sushi spot! The staff is super friendly and the wait wasn't too crazy at all. The atmosphere is very relaxing. I have social anxiety and sensory issues so I usually just get food to go but I don't think I'll ever do that here. The place is like a nice, calm setting where as other sushi places I've gone can easily get loud. I told the person about my severe allergy and they were accommodating and super sweet about it! Honestly, I don't have a single complaint about this place. The plating of the sushi is aesthetically pleasing and just wait until you taste it! It's like a flavor explosion in your mouth! 10/10 would recommend hands down.“
