“My Husband and I accidentally came across this gem of a Burger 🍔 place. So happy we did!!! I’ve always said if you don’t need two napkins for your burger, it’s not worth it… I needed four! My brioche bun was toasted perfectly and the seasoning and juiciness of the burger was perfection. And you MUST not forget the seasoned fries - out of this world!!! Frank, you are incredible!!! I've eaten there for my birthday celebration meal, and at other times, in the five or six years since. It's rare to find great food, great service, and at a great price in the post-Covid era. “Best cheap lunch in town! Great staff. It's one of the few remaining old school Ann Arbor business that's unique (there's probably only 20 left by my estimate). Started by a French cuisine trained chef who was tired of working for others 40 years ago. They serve hot dogs, yes, but mainly soups. Soup that is not apre-made nightmare from Sysco or GFS. On Thursdays and Fridays they usually serve a lobster bisque. They have about 8 soups to choose from; Italian Wedding & Tortillia are some of my favs. I don't get there much, as they are only open from 11:30 to 2:30 M-F. Three hours a day. Carry out only. No seating. For 40 years. Nothing lasts that long doing it wrong. They make their own lemonade too.“

“Genuinely THE noodle place of Washtenaw County. The staff is always welcoming. I've been coming here for years now and I've never had a bad dish. The food is all fresh and hand made. I wouldn't be shocked if they butchered the cow themselves. But the takeout game is where they excel. You get your noodles separately from the broth so they don't get soggy. That little difference is why I always recommend Lan City to anyone living or visiting Ypsi.“

“As someone who’s Hispanic and grew up in California, I’ve had a lot of authentic Mexican food over the years. After living in Ohio for the past five years, it’s been hard to find something that truly compares — until I tried Miny’s in Michigan.

The quality for the price is unbeatable. The flavors are bold, authentic, and clearly made with care. The textures are spot on, from the tortillas to the fillings, and everything tastes fresh.

The carne asada tacos are more than worth the price, and the guacamole is fresh — easily better than Chipotle. These are hands down the best tacos I’ve had since living in the Midwest, and they genuinely reminded me of the spots back home in California.

If you care about real Mexican food and not just “Mexican-inspired,” this place is absolutely worth the trip. I’ll definitely be back.

“We drop in every time we visit family and it's always worth the almost 800-mile drive. Just ordered a custom cake for a family event and even without being able to meet in person everything was absolutely perfect“

“Madras Masala is my go-to spot and I keep coming back for a reason. The flavors are consistently excellent — everything tastes like it's made with real care, not just thrown together. The service is warm and welcoming every time, which makes a huge difference. Ms Priscilla is a highlight, always compassionate and caring with a warm smile.
A couple of nice touches I've noticed on recent visits: they've switched over from disposable plates and utensils to real china and silverware, which elevates the whole experience and shows they're investing in doing things right. There are also some beautiful home-grown floral arrangements on display now (photos below) that add such a lovely, personal touch to the space.

Like a bad dream ordered 2 falafel Got 80% lettus and cucumber. One veggie fried ball broken into 3 pieces. Pocket bread was cold. Was charged $20 for the 2. Like bad joke. They closed at 7pm.
