“Everything about this place is amazing! When you walk in the atmosphere is cozy and cabin like. You are welcomed at the door by everyone with a smile and you’re not just there for pasties! You walk around the “cabin” and it is a gift shop in disguise! There are cozy gifts and keepsakes available to buy all around and each part has a different theme but classic UP cabin feel! I just picked up the cutest apron and oven mitts, and they were underpriced in my opinion! I can’t wait to use them! The pasties are amazing! All homemade, along with their gravy choices and dessert pasties! Oh the mixed berry pasty with cream cheese icing 😍 it is phenomenal! Highly recommend! ❤️”

“This place is PHENOMENAL! The crust is clearly homemade, and all of the ingredients are freshly prepared and are actually real ingredients. Like the pineapple comes from a pineapple and not a can. The bacon tastes like I cut and cooked it myself. I absolutely adore the quality of food here, and we’ve been eating here consistently for over a year now and they’ve never disappointed. In addition- the service is fantastic. The owner is a nice guy, but so are all of his staff. The best pizza place in town, no questions asked.”

“If you've never really been in a room with the smell of a good wood burning fireplace? Because not all burnt wood smells are the same! This place smells of comfort and a disarming relaxation that I can't describe beyond what a great firewood smelling place to rest my weary bones at. The pizza was a good thick dough, not a deep dish just made thick if you like a good thick perfect crust with a little blend of garlic throughout. At least on their Hercules. What a very enjoyable lunch at a place, I probably never will be again, but if I could, I'd eat lunch there every day just for the atmosphere. Although the service was decent in the quality of the pizza I got was excellent, the atmosphere just struck a chord with me it took me to a very tranquil state of being to be completely honest with you..”

“It was an amazing experience! My son and I have never been to one before, let alone smoked cigars before. Tim is a first-class bartender and helped us to pick enjoyable cigars for our tastes. He further went on to suggest drinks to match our liking and enhance the cigar flavor nicely. The drinks were custom made by his expert mixology prowess. The atmosphere was serene like we were part of a club. We will definitely make another stop there the next time we are in town!”

“We hit this place up almost daily when we come up to visit. The coffee is good, a little light on the flavors but it makes it not too sweet. The food has been good the few things we have tried and the in house baked items have been really good as well. The staff is incredibly friendly and the service is pretty fast for how busy they always are.”

“I've always been a Subway kind of guy at least I thought I was I never gave this place a chance the food looked just to take out of a package and put on a bread. Oh boy was I wrong I got the chicken bacon ranch hot sandwich I was absolutely to die for the bread was so fresh and good way better than Subway❤️ I am a big fan now it's unfortunate I live in DeTour Village and not closer to Sault Ste Marie LOL so when I go out there that is the place that we get food now instead of the restaurants I love their sandwiches they're so fresh and the bread is amazing definitely give it a five-star rating”

“Relaxed and friendly this place offers plenty to look at with walls packed full of taxidermy. Staff has been wonderful and the food feels like down home cooking and has never disappointed. Prices and portions are on par and you really feel like you are getting your monies worth. Old building really sets the stage with creaky floors and old lodge feel at times. Bonus room for ice cream at the other end of the building. We stop in every trip to the UP for some good food.
Atmosphere can be lively later in evening and the good tips get the bells a ringing.
Be on the lookout for sneaky 3d printed fidgets I like to hide on the shelves 😄
While visiting take a stroll down main street and see some wonderful little shops or watch the Freightliner come through the Locks.”
