“The price of the bill vs the food taste didn’t add up. The food wasn’t seasoned, the Mac and cheese was meh, and the yams and greens tasted like something you’d find pre maid. The fried chicken had zero seasonings on it. The only thing good was the fried fish. Service was great and the atmosphere was good as well. But I wouldn’t go here again.“

“Best soul food Downriver! We usually just get their wings, macaroni, and greens. So good. Customer service is great as well. I've ordered from them multiple times and never had a problem. The only thing I hate is their inconsistent and tough hours, but I understand it's probably a small business thing they have to deal with.“

You have an occasion coming up where you will need or want a pan of macaroni and cheese...like today...because it's today and you will want a pan of macaroni and cheese. My family had turkey chops and chicken wings, yams, green beans, greens and cornbread and everything was good but when I tell you that mac and cheese is some of the best I've EVER had, including my own, which slaps, I mean it. The lady taking orders was friendly, the dining room was clean, maybe too clean? Cleaning products were left out in full view and maybe that's not the ambience you want while dining in but that mac and cheese tho...I will sit next to a vat of bleach and Fabuloso if it meant having more. Go. Order it. Order other stuff too. I think you'll be pleased.

“I recommend the chicken, ribs, yams and Mac…. Even the koolaid was freaking amazing! I’m a very indecisive person and when I walked in, I couldn’t choose, so I just ordered everything I knew I’d eventually eat. One rib dinner is def enough for two meals. The wing dings were amazing too! And it travels well. Lord knows that delivery man was very easy on the eyes! Fast, fresh, friendly, SEASONED, authentic food for the soul! Perfect way to end a spa day!“

“Stopped in today with several coworkers and took advantage of the $10 lunch special. Brisket sandwich and fries. Fries were pretty good but the brisket sandwich is what will bring me back. Very moist, well prepared and flavorful. The price is right as well. Wish I could have had a cocktail but there’s always next time. See ya soon.“
