“Always a favorite for my wife and I. The food never disappoints and the German beer is a favorite of mine. Service is always friendly and I honestly all around a great experience every time. I personally love the pork schnitzel and it’s the only thing I’ve actually eaten here and it will always be that way. That being said, I’ve never tried anything else on the menu.“

“I finally had the chance to stop and enjoy afew of their delicious muffins at the Grand Haven location, they were the best muffins I have ever had.Afew days later I was in Spring Lake and took the opportunity to stop at their restaurant and have brunch. They have a wonderful selection on the menu. Breakfast and lunch options, I opted to try the biscuits and gravy and a Matcha Green Latte ( YUM ).I was informed that they didn't have biscuits but I could have aCrosient instead. I thought this is a great option and happy I decided to try it.I purchased afew cookies for a snack later today.I recommend trying them out.Parking: This restaurant is in the back behind the main street businesses on Savage Street, Google it ifYou need if you help finding it“

“This is a nice place to eat breakfast and lunch. It's good homestyle food from a "mom and pop" type place. My favorite thing about this place is they grind their coffee beans right there for the freshest coffee. Sometimes the wait for food can be a bit long during busy times which its uncommon, but when it is a long wait it's not to bad. I believe the owner works with the staff. The staff are nice and are nice to converse with. Overall, I'd eat there more frequently if I had the opportunity.“

“Walked up and got our name on the list for brunch. They took our number and said they'd text when the table was ready. Estimated 30-minute wait, actual 40. We took the opportunity to look up the menu and reviews while waiting. Once seated, we were able to order immediately. The coffee was brought out in an insulated carafe for wxtra pours, with a side of cream. The gal who helped us also brought 2 forks out so we could share the roll. It had a fabulous crunchy outer, yet tender inside and smothered in a tangy-sweet cream cheese frosting. Next came the mains. Mine could have used some kick, but there was hot sauce available &, I suppose, it's easier to add more heat than it is to take it away. The eggs were perfectly poached & I loved the naked option. Bonus for letting me swap out potatoes for the fruit. After reading how great they were, I did expect some sort of twist, but there isn't one. Yes, they were good, just normal. I stole a few bites of bacon & it was fabulous. I'd guess they bake it to render it and get it crispy without burning it. The hubs said the chorizo hash was great. I wouldn't know cuz he didn't share! All in all, I feel like it was a great value.“

“Arrived 11am on a monday and the place was a bustling. The dining area is definitely on the small side but people understand this and don't diddle daddle.I only waited 2 minutes for a seat at the counter (7 stools). Wait staff is of the teamwork type. Everyone helps and is happy to be helpful.I ordered an Irish Omelette, with white toast, and a side order 1/2 biscuits and gravy. Food was ample size for price and cooked VERY well (great, exceptional)!Tasted amazing too!I requested a water and a diet coke. Cold and refreshing.Only 1 table that can hold 7 or squeeze in 8. But lots of tables that can squeeze 5. Space is the only possible gripe about this restaurant.Herbie's is everything you want in a small diner that is open until 2pm.Great food, price, service (Kathy was also exceptional), and atmosphere!!!Herbie's should be your next stop in Muskegon for breakfast/lunch!Bravo,Busta-RandallParking: Empty building next door allows overflow.Kid-friendliness: Lots of elderly to oooh and ahhh at them.Wheelchair accessibility: Tight but doable for all but the largest mobile chairs.“

“The sushi is a 10/10! This is our second time and the specials are delicious and worth every penny. Had to go next door for the bubble tea which I thought was odd, but I did and it was good. The ambiance is a little plain but ok. Staff are all great.“

“I love the energy bites! They are my favorite. The best chai latte I ever had was from here but I wish the drinks were more consistent because every barista makes them differently. Great place to hang out and get coffee. Can bring pets in temporarily while waiting for order.Parking: Usually enough parking to park close otherwise there’s some public lots nearby. Good luck parking when downtown is busy during the summer. Sometimes make a loop around and find a spot.“

The Us Cafe Coffee Shops • $
2300 Maffett St, Muskegon Heights - 9.51 miles

“We didn't like it, WE LOVED IT! From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, we were embraced with warmth. There's nothing quite like walking into a place that makes you feel at home.My husband loved the catfish sandwhich and side of potatoes that were smothered in something magical. He went crazy over the special sauce and I thought the seasoning on the potatoes was to perfection. I would post a photo of our plates, but we ate our food so fast I didn't get a chance to capture it.The Us Cafe is a community hub that fosters engagement in remarkable ways. I had the pleasure of attending a book signing that highlighted Leslie Ware, a Muskegon native who has authored the noteworthy book, Black Girls Sew. I love how The Us Cafe supports "us."Vegetarian options: As a plant-based eater, I always want to see more veggies on the menu, but was grateful for their chefs willingness to go above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. Kid-friendliness: It was nice to see grandparents and parents engaging with their kids in an environment that feels like the more like a endearing village rather than a cold establishment. I saw kids coloring and getting to be kids. It was beautiful.“
