“Our favorite neighborhood bar. The bartenders and staff are always super friendly and take great care of us. “Old school, Detroit style bar with charbroiled burgers. It’s about the only place left in Detroit where you can find one. I literally drive across town just to get one on the regular. Makes me nostalgic for the days Detroit had charbroiled burgers everywhere.“

“Went for the Yuengling party which was a great way to welcome a classic American beer to Michigan. We were very excited to see Monk's Cafe on the beer list. So many options here for everyone. The James O'Donnell Band was great too!“

The pour however was generous.
We were there on St Patrick's Day.
I was fully expecting to get ripped off.
Didn't happen, I was there for the 1st time, gotta a generous pour.
Service and food was shit.
I will definitely return, seriously, got a great pour on a day when I fully expected to be taken advantage of.
Great spot, will return, would suggest.

“we had my daughter's baby shower here and we had a great experience, from the beginning. the staff is friendly and accommodating and the brunch was amazing! I would definitely recommend them for an event or just to have a nice meal in a comfortable atmosphere“

Very good… we will be back ( this was our first time here, as it was highly recommended by our son and daughter in law). Our server Ellen was great. He needs his old waitress back (me) I have very good customer service skills and I’d never mishandle my customers.“
