“Off of 41 in Stephenson, we came upon an "Out in the middle of nowhere & a local favorite" restaurant. We were a bit put off because of the amount of vehicles there (a lot!), My wife went in to see how long the wait would be. She came out and said that the dining room was nearly empty. The Bar area was where most of the people were. Super Yooperized dining room!! The large paper (that came from a big roll on the wall) table covering was fun and a great idea. Crayons would've been a plus! There is a great selection of food and the prices were really nice, we even had dessert! Everything that we ordered was wonderful. Peggy, the owner, was also our server. The Veteran's discount was very generous, 20% I think. Overall, I highly recommend giving them a visit, you'll be quite satisfied.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of parking all around the building. A few kids came in with their parents to eat. The atmosphere was really chill, no crazy rowdiness happening.“
“We went there for a small get-together and we had a great time. The food was on the whole very good and would get 5 stars if the fried stuff wasn't all a bit overcooked. The chicken dumpling soup is very good and is worth the trip if are anywhere near the place. Our server was endlessly patient and helpful.“
“Went up to my cabin for a ladies weekend. While out on our adventure we got hungry. Honestly we stopped just because it had a better review than another location in the area. I am so glad we stopped there! If I could give higher than 5 stars I would! The owners are wonderful, the food is fresh and taste amazing. The variety is huge! We ordered many different options from the menu. Nothing disappointed. I'm headed back up this weekend with my family and plan on taking my kids. It was a perfect rest stop for ladies weekend, but the entire time, we couldn't stop talking about how much the kids would enjoy it. From the outdoor games and bounce house, to the deep fried Oreo's. This is the perfect stop for every group.Kid-friendliness: So many games, bounce house and photo opsParking: large parking lot“
“One of the best burgers I've ever had! That's considering burgers I've had from Joe Rouers, Mickey Lu's, Krolls, Shoots, etc. Honestly can't remember if I ordered the Heritage or McAllister burger, but it doesn't matter. The patty alone was so well-seasoned/cooked. Even my wife agrees. I've been spreading the word ever since. Lastly, we went during a slow time, so I'm not sure what their quality and service is like when they're busy, but I would bet it's still great.“
“Food was pretty decent. But I was disappointed that you serve some watery orange drink as a $2.29 glass of orange juice. List it as orange drink. ?♀️And you have WiFi. It shows up as available on our wireless gadgets under your restaurant name, so we know it's there, but you won't give out the password so people can use it. Oh well, my dad loves the place, so I'm sure I'll be back!“
