“Only come here if you want to drink great beer and cocktails in the middle of a romantic forest. It’s a must do. We came in October and it was perfect. Leaves changing, pumpkin beer, rosé mimosa (we came early). Stop in for a snack, a drink and a bonfire.“
“We are locals and frequent Hawkin’s Farm Cellars a lot. The service is friendly and the Thai food is exceptional. My husband especially loves the Pad Thai chicken and I am a huge fan of the Green Curry dish. You could literally close your eyes and just point to anything on the menu and never be disappointed!“

“Food was delish but wait was way too long, we were ready to leave when food showed up.“
“Beautiful campus. The tasting room is very nice. Love the building structure. The wines are always good the spirits are OK. Most of the staff was wonderful and interactive. One was kind of rude and really didn't know what she was talking about when discussing spirits and mixed drinks. If she doesn't know, she should just say she doesn't know. Overall, good place to try some new or an old favorite from Black Star.“

“We stopped in for an after lunch, early dinner. We weren't looking for a spot necessarily but definitely glad we did. Very cozy feel, definitely family friendly. Good drink options and appetizers as well. We had a fish sandwich and a Reuben and both were excellent. Service is super fast and the staff is really friendly.“
“Beautiful winery, amazing service, and a beautiful view!“
“Green Bird is a little slice of Heaven! They even practice sustainable farming via their “flerd“ (flock of chickens and herd of sheep) who rotate through each row of vines. I sat down and immediately signed up for the wine club because I knew this was something I wanted to support! And yes, the server was new this season but very knowledgeable and warm. No high-brow wine snobbery here! P.S. wine and cheese pairings are fantastic.“
“Had lunch after some wine tasting a bit further north. Bad Dog Deli was recommended by a young lady at 2Lads Vineyard and we were not disappointed! The sandwiches were delicious and the staff friendly and helpful.
Parking: Good sized off street parking lot with plenty of space for the busy lunchtime crowd.“
“My husband and I had a wonderful experience on the patio with Heidi and Annie. Heidi was so helpful and very gracious to me in our selections and accommodating to my allergy to gluten. We felt very welcome the most welcome in all of Traverse City.“
“Our love story started here on Old Mission Peninsula in 2020. Little did I know that 5 years later, I would also marry my husband here. Bonobo holds a very special place in our hearts and is one of our favorite vineyards that we visit each time we come to Northern Michigan. We are also wine club members here because their wine is our favorite!
We made sure to stop here on my bachelorette party in June. All my bridesmaids understood my love for Bonobo!
It only made sense that 2 days before our wedding in August we would host a private family dinner here too in The Library Room. The food and service was incredible - the attention to detail throughout planning the decor, the menu, and the wine selections! Couldn’t have asked for a better night.
Then the night before the wedding, my husband and I decided to make one last stop at Bonobo after our rehearsal dinner which was further down the peninsula - our last drink before becoming husband and wife. Our photographer of course came along and got some of my favorite pictures of the whole weekend here!
Then on Saturday, our ceremony was at St Joseph Catholic Church (right next door from Bonobo). Many guests had a glass of wine after the ceremony at Bonobo and enjoyed the views of the vineyards and the bay before our cocktail hour + reception at Delamar.
Bonobo, you’ll always be a very special place to us. Cheers to our love aging like fine wine!“

“After reading so many bad reviews we just had to stop in for lunch to check it out! The service was very good, the food was also good, the view was excellent sitting next to the water! But I have to say it was very much over priced, Holy Moses! It's very touristy and tacky , would we go back...yep definitely.“

“We love the nostalgia of this place the decor has a classic up north feel. We have brought our kids here for dinner a few times this past year and they have loved the burgers and pizza! The service and staff are always welcoming and make us feel like we are part of a family every time we come. My favorite is the perch, I personally live the way they prepare it with just a light dusting of batter.“

“I loved everything about this restaurant except the price. That being said, you get what you pay for. 2 very tasty beers, and 2 huge plates of crispy fish & chips for my girlfriend and I with some whitefish dip as a starter set us back about $100. The drive there is part of the experience so dont forget to look around and imagine the life you'll never have owning or working at any of the hundred vinyards. The service was stellar, for our large group + 1 baby we felt well looked after. The beer was delicious, but if I knew it was $10 for 1 glass and roughly $25 for a growler, id have brought my own cup. If I'm back in Traverse City, Ill definitely go back for the fish and chips and a growler of beer.“
“I like this winery because the staff pays 0 attention to you, which is a great thing in my opinion! You can wander around and do whatever you want. Lots of seats outdoors. I was able to see the grapes still on the vine. I had a riesling, very good. Not bad prices for a flight. around 20 bucks for 2 people.“
