“Carnales catered our daughter's quinceañera. The food was amazing!!! The service was outstanding. They delivered and set up promptly and took it down as well. We had so much left over. I'll be eating Mexican for days. The entire party raved about how wonderful the food was. I've eaten there before. The quesa birria is outstanding. 10/10 recommend. 5 stars.“

“I can't say enough great things about this restaurant. My wife and I have been to every Mexican cuisine restaurant around the MI/OH border in the Toledo vicinity. We have never had a bad meal. Always great, and as an added plus their margaritas are Best in Toledo. The staff is fantastic, and the food comes out hot and quick. We stopped in once again last night. It doesn't get better than this!“

“I'm on a mission to shout out about this restaurant. The prices are a little high in my opinion, but... (1) the food is worth it, and (2) I am spoiled by the prices in Detroit's Mexicantown, where there is a lot more competition for Mexican food. Mi novio, quien es de Jalisco, México, le gusta mucho la comida de El Tajín. So if Oscar says it's good food, I KNOW it's good, authentic Mexican food. The elote is TO. DIE. FOR In my humble opinion. If you want really great Mexican food in the Toledo area, I cannot recommend this place enough. Try street taco Thursdays ($2 street tacos) if you're skeptical, because at $2 a taco you can't lose. I think once you've experienced El Tajín's food you will become a believer.“
“Came here to grab a few things, unfortunately they didn’t have what I wanted. The lady who helped me, she was phenomenal. I let her know I moved here from SWFL, and she didn’t hesitate to tell us the great things they have around here. The atmosphere was great, thank you for being so welcoming, I will definitely be back!“

“Yummy carne asada torta. Meat had good flavor. Always appreciate when restaurants grill the torta bread. Also, I’m picky about my toppings, they got my order correct and was quick service. Cute little place. I at first showed up at one of the chain San Marcos and thought about just going in but I’m glad I made the effort to go here.“

“Usually places attached to a mall are just average, but Don Juan's really exceeds this level. Had the Fiesta Nachos with beef, shrimp, chorizo, and zucchini, very good, and enough for both my wife and I. Nice atmosphere, wait staff is super attentive and friendly. What can I say, check out this place if you haven't!“

“Lunch plans changed due to everything we tried being closed and a local told us about this place and WOW! I’m so glad the others closes! What a way to start 2024 and my last day here before heading home to TX! The food and margaritas were awesome! I can’t wait to come back this summer and sit out on the patio 💗💗💗 perfect for family dinner, date night or girls night!“

“This Mexican Restaurant is in a nice location, close to one if the malls in toledo. If you are craving Mexican food, this is a good choice.
Large menu, plenty of different options that include traditional and Tex-Mex. And the atmosphere is like the traditional Pueblos.
I got the Enchiladas Surpreme, which gave you 4 different ones, only 2 had meat though which was slightly disappointing. Nonetheless the food tasted good. The queso blanco we ordered was good and the chips were large similar to On The Border.
This place offers 10% of to U of Toledo students that bring their ID which was a nice touch.“

“We have been here twice now and everything has been delicious. The chips are a favorite of all the places we have tried. You get a large bottle of salsa also. Taco salad, wet burritos and enchiladas are very good. Gladly drive the 30 mins for the food and chips :)“

“We were looking for a place to eat, and happened to drive past Palacio Maya Mexican Restaurant. We decided to try it, and we were not disappointed. The selection of food items for vegetarians was amazing with plenty of items to choose from. The staff were quick, efficient and friendly. We would definitely eat here again.
Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian items to choose from in a separate section of the menu. The beans do not have lard in them, which is also a plus.“

“Excellent food, quick efficient professional service
Six of us visited for lunch and we ordered from lunch menu. Everything taste so fresh and come with some side. Super reasonable price $8 is a steal for that much of food. Clean environment, tidy restaurant, colorful seating and nice bar indeed. If I’m in this area then definitely returning .
Only issue I found no soup in the restroom and no towel in the holder.“

“Restaurant is across from the river and right by a trailhead for the Great Allegheny Passage trail. Wife had tacos and I have a big burrito. Both were very good. Restaurant was busy and limited staff were working hard to keep drinks and food moving (great job)! Great place to hike or bike a trail, grab a beer and a relaxing meal. Very dog friendly as well.“
