I would highly recommend making a reservation as the place is small. Although my favorite spot is the bar, with Tim and Tom. The staff is great, knowledgeable, friendly, and fun to watch.“

(1) the food is worth it, and (2) I am spoiled by the prices in Detroit's Mexicantown, where there is a lot more competition for Mexican food. “Fantastic, authentic, Mexican food. The prices are reasonable, flavors are outstanding, and the people working there are super friendly. Been many times when they were on Woodville Road. Then, one day, it vanished. I was gutted. Then, while driving down Broadway, I saw their sign ( just past Western Ave.). I immediately turned around and went in. Sure enough, they moved. Same people, same food, in a larger building. My family loves it here. This is our go-to Mexican place. This is AUTHENTIC Mexican food. If you're expecting Taco Bell type fare, it will not be what you're expecting. But it is far better. If you haven't been, give it a try. You won't be disappointed. The menu is in Spanish and English. Highly recommend the Tortas, barbacoa, and tamales. (If they have any, they sell out regularly.)

Ground beef was kind of dry and I feel they should add a small amount of shredded lettuce, tomatoes, a dolop of sour cream, maybe a small bit of guacamole and a small bit of refried beans to their combination plates. “We were looking for a place to eat, and happened to drive past Palacio Maya Mexican Restaurant. We decided to try it, and we were not disappointed. The selection of food items for vegetarians was amazing with plenty of items to choose from. The staff were quick, efficient and friendly. We would definitely eat here again.

Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian items to choose from in a separate section of the menu. The beans do not have lard in them, which is also a plus.“

“It's been awhile since I've dined at this particular location. Usually I go to their original location. Today I had the Enchiladas Supremas and they didn't disappoint. You are given three enchiladas, one each of steak, cheese and chicken accompanied by beans and rice. Everything was delicious and plentiful. I now have tomorrow's lunch ? You also get complimentary chips and salsa. I definitely will be back sooner rather than later. Oh and the margaritas are excellent.“
