“I've eaten Mexican food in New York City, Detroit, Minneapolis, and a few others. This is hands down one of the best mexican restaurants I have been to. Great service, great food, clean restaurant. Had the queso as an appetizer, then pork tamale and Chile relleno for dinner. All great. Family had quesabirria tacos and the chefs special fajitas. All happy with their food. I'm already craving it again and considering a drive thru order soon. (Yes theres a drive thru window as well). Can't recommend it enough. If youre nearby and craving mexican. Dont hesitate to drop in.“

“I stopped on my way home from an arduous day. One of those mentally and physically exhausting days. I stopped to get supper. A chipper voice chimed through the speaker, took my order, and lifted my spirits a little bit. I was greeted by a young lady at the window with a pleasant smile. She didn't look grumpy or unhappy like I was an interruption. Her pleasant smile brought me out of my funk just a little and made my evening better. I stop at Taco Bell because it is my comfort food. I always feel better with cinnamon twists and a Mountain Dew to chase down a bean burrito. This time it was the attitude of the service that made my day better. Working the counter or the window can be tough, so Thank you to the lady in the window for your smile.“

“I'm on a mission to shout out about this restaurant. The prices are a little high in my opinion, but... (1) the food is worth it, and (2) I am spoiled by the prices in Detroit's Mexicantown, where there is a lot more competition for Mexican food. Mi novio, quien es de Jalisco, México, le gusta mucho la comida de El Tajín. So if Oscar says it's good food, I KNOW it's good, authentic Mexican food. The elote is TO. DIE. FOR In my humble opinion. If you want really great Mexican food in the Toledo area, I cannot recommend this place enough. Try street taco Thursdays ($2 street tacos) if you're skeptical, because at $2 a taco you can't lose. I think once you've experienced El Tajín's food you will become a believer.“

“Stopped here before a NYE party to pick up corn tortillas. I have celiac disease so needed to be sure what I was getting was gluten free. The woman behind the counter was really helpful. The corn tortillas and corn chips were excellent. I didn't have any reaction so oth were definitely gluten free. I also picked up some pico de gallo and salsa verde. Those were delicious as well! Highly recommend.“

The food was flavorful and came out pretty quickly, though the portion sizes were a bit smaller than I was expecting for the price. You have to come get them as soon as they post... cuz they go Quick! (And I see Why! 😍) Melanie was my waitress. She's very attentive, helpful & sweet. 🤗 Chips & Salsa 🥰🤌 I ordered the lunch special for $10 and of course the mango juice. You get 2 enchiladas, with beans & rice. “If you haven’t been to San Marcos in Toledo, I highly recommend as the food is always consistently great and people there are nice too. I haven’t been to the San Marcos on Laskey, mainly because of the 1 star reviews but I can guarantee all the other San Marcos in Toledo are worth the stop!“

“We were looking for a place to eat, and happened to drive past Palacio Maya Mexican Restaurant. We decided to try it, and we were not disappointed. The selection of food items for vegetarians was amazing with plenty of items to choose from. The staff were quick, efficient and friendly. We would definitely eat here again.

Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian items to choose from in a separate section of the menu. The beans do not have lard in them, which is also a plus.“

Six of us visited for lunch and we ordered from lunch menu. Everything taste so fresh and come with some side. Super reasonable price $8 is a steal for that much of food. Clean environment, tidy restaurant, colorful seating and nice bar indeed. If I’m in this area then definitely returning .
Only issue I found no soup in the restroom and no towel in the holder.“

“Food was quite good and fresh at a reasonable price. I feel very full with just a bowl despite my typically ravenous appetite. Website was easy enough to use with plenty of options and rarely a stray upcharge for things that ought to be included. I greatly appreciate that.

Service was fine. Fast, casual, nothing out of the ordinary but employees seemed on top of what they were doing which can't be said for every place these days.

Quite recommend and I hope more of these open up as they are a better value than Chipotle.“
