“We were fortunate enough to be invited to the soft opening of Viola Café this week. While we have always loved the charm of this little gem in Three Oaks, the new owners have knocked it out of the park on every level. Service was friendly, attentive and had great suggestions for us. The décor was modern, yet not stark, a very nice soothing atmosphere, comfortable seating and tables spaced enough apart to enjoy your meal in your space. Prices were very good and the portions generous. Now the food – EVERYTHING we tasted was phenomenal. The dishes had the right amount of flavor, spice and uniqueness (due to the recipes of the owners’ family members). I’m not one who can eat too hot and the only dish I found too hot was the Nashville chicken po boy sandwich. While I couldn’t eat much of that, the bread they serve it on is amazing. We also had the unique and very tasty 3 bean salad, an AMAZING “old school” potato salad, the chicken/sausage gumbo, beignets you’d be hard pressed to think were not from Louisiana, fantastic collard greens and chicken salad. Everything was incredibly fresh and prepared perfectly. And that was just lunch. Had we arrived a bit earlier we could’ve tried breakfast, but we WERE able to get a smidge of a taste of the sausage gravy that goes on the biscuits. I don’t even eat that but was blown away by that taste. NEXT TIME BREAKFAST!“

“This was our first visit to the Staymaker, which is the restaurant within the Journeyman Distillery. We are visiting from Chicago and this was recommended and we were not disappointed! Everything was really excellent! From our charming and attentive server Hailey, to the amazing smoked trout spread app to the Trout entree and the brisket meatloaf. It was all so delicious! We will be back!“

“Had a fantastic experience for my birthday. Our server Miranda was super friendly and all of her recommendations were spot on. We didn't have a single thing we didn't like! 10/10 would recommend. Our server honestly made our experience so much better, and we credit her for so much of our experience. Food was amazing as well, house made pasta was to DIE for!“

“Just had dinner here at the Red Arrow Roadhouse. Hubby ordered the meatloaf dinner and he liked it very much. I ordered the Roadhouse Classic Reuben minus the sauerkraut and 1000 island dressing! The house-cooked corned beef, warm, very lean, and incredibly tender on griddled marbled rye, with melted Swiss cheese was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! The fries were perfectly cooked and hot. Our server was a dream. Friendly and welcoming. She made us want to come back! The next time we’re in New Buffalo, we will definitely visit this restaurant again.“

“I have been going to The Stray Dog for years. I have never had a bad experience there. The food is great and the service is superb! Also, if any of the ladies out there need a "personal plumber", I am available to service your unfulfilled fantasies.“

“The food here was soooo amazing! We met our daughter here halfway between Chicago & Grand Rapids…thinking about visiting anyway! We even had enough leftovers for another meal at home. We had the tacos and also the wet burrito. Bonus was we could bring our lovely dog Coco to share the time with us outside at a picnic table.“

“Some locals recommended this place to us for dinner, so we decided to give it a try. My first impression was that the place is extremely dated and dark inside. The building is obviously older, along with the decor. The staff was exemplary and our waitress was really friendly and knew service really well. The food is extremely pricey for the area, but you are given large portions. Presentation is pretty much non-existent, but that matters less than the flavor of the food.“

“Tried here after being denied service at Nowhere in Rolling Prairie due to having my baby along for Father’s Day. So happy we did. This is a family friendly establishment with a very nice staff, excellent food, and a nice atmosphere. Will absolutely recommend and return.“

“1st time in went with 3 couples and we all agreed the food sucks, way to expensive. The menu was wack. 2 Italian subs, 2 cokes 45$. Never again.“

“I haven’t been to this place in a few years. It was always beautiful and I honestly did t think it could get much better. I was wrong. This place got AMAZING!!! From the interior, to the food, to the service… everything was beyond expectation. I loved my burger and the drink I had was a perfect blend of flavors. I’m going to stop babbling and just tell you to check it out for yourself.
I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“We arrived because a wedding we went to at ND had a big lag before dinner started, and we were really hungry. We had been to Moser's before, years ago, but were in the mood for German food. We were there close to 3 pm, but it was open and pretty busy. Large table at the back, and with the nice weather, several parties sitting outside as well. This meant we had a bit of a wait to order, or even get our menus, but I don't think they expected that crowd for a late lunch. The food (both hubby and I had the Alt Wienerschnitzel - $17 for lunch size) was excellent, and he thought the flavors with the Spaetzle and the red kraut were perfect. I'm Austrian, so I'm used to eating schnitzel, but I love it in styles my mother never makes, like this unique take with spinach and cheese, folded over. In total with a tip, we paid $43, with the schnitzel costing $34, $2.34 in tax, and then the $7+ tip. I felt bad for our waitress because she was obviously stressed having to do tables inside and out. I get it, since I work in the ER and you run your whole shift, too. But she (Samantha) was very friendly and got nothing in the order wrong. I love how they still have some of the ladies wear dirndls, and am glad the place is doing well. Better than the last time we were in. A+ food. There were families with little kids, couples, single guys, all kinds of people came in to eat there during our stay. We had to park on the alley to the side, but generally there is easier parking on the street. Nice outdoor seating. Nice clean bathroom in the candy/ice cream shop adjoining.“

I highly recommend Casey's and definitely ask for Adam. He goes above and beyond! Even made sure on our last night to have sweet tea for us! Thank you ! Hope to see you next summer!“

“We just had the most amazing breakfast experience at Jackie’s Jackie Cafe! 😍 The blueberry French toast and low-carb frittata were absolute delights for our taste buds. Jackie Shen, known as the ‘Queen of Fusion,’ truly lives up to her title, seamlessly blending French cuisine with her cultural roots. A culinary journey that’s not to be missed! #JackiesCafe #FoodieHeaven #QueenOfFusion”“

“We didn’t expect our experience at Timbers to be so enjoyable. We were so surprised at how nice, fun and helpful the staff was. The food was good (pizza, salad & cheesesteak sandwich) and prices weren’t too bad. Just can’t say enough about the dining staff, great job!!“

“Out riding all weekend, stopped in looking for a quick beer and maybe an appetizer. Had 3 wonderful beers, (2 hazy ales, one cider) and the smashburger sandwich. I couldn't stop smiling. Everyone in there was off of the interstate because of a traffic jam. All of the staff doubled down during the rush and killed it. Such a great experience considering the heat and circumstances.“
