“This was our first visit to the Staymaker, which is the restaurant within the Journeyman Distillery. We are visiting from Chicago and this was recommended and we were not disappointed! Everything was really excellent! From our charming and attentive server Hailey, to the amazing smoked trout spread app to the Trout entree and the brisket meatloaf. It was all so delicious! We will be back!“

“One of the best restaurants in SW MI area! The food is amazing and service is impeccable. We've eaten here for date night, family gatherings, and girls night out. Each time everyone leaves happy and full. Their season/special options are tasty, but their bolognese keeps me coming back for more! Also, one of the best dirty martinis I've ever had!“

“Tried here after being denied service at Nowhere in Rolling Prairie due to having my baby along for Father’s Day. So happy we did. This is a family friendly establishment with a very nice staff, excellent food, and a nice atmosphere. Will absolutely recommend and return.“

“If you’re looking for quick, affordable but delicious takeout this is the spot!
Particularly loved their spicy pork and spicy chicken in burrito or quesadilla form.
Rice and beans were fine but not why you come.
Salsas were good - medium had a nice little kick“

“Went there twice in the last month and everything was great. The 1st time we had an appetizer called crabbies I believe. Egg rolls with crab filling and they were very good. The 2nd time we had the crab cakes and those will be the appetizer we'll get in the future.
1st time I had the walleye and prime rib combo, my husband had the filet. 2nd time I had the filet and he had the shrimp and NY strip combo. Both times we had enough left over for a 2nd meal the next night. Loved the salad and homemade dressing. And the topper of the night was the mile high turtle cheesecake. Holy Moly!!
The 2nd time our server was Anna and she was wonderful. I don't remember the server's name the first time but she was also good. Well worth the money going there and so nice to have a great meal each time.“

“A group of us stopped by Beer Church today. It was our first time and it will definitely not be our last. Lauren toom amazing care of us. She answered all the questions we had and made wonderful suggestions. We sat outside and the weather was perfect. Seating was comfortable and I managed to stop by a few times I asked, however, was. The drinks were delicious, and we are able to try some of the beers which was nice. We like it so much. We grabbed a four pack on the way out the door!“

“Had reservations to visit for a birthday dinner. Food and service was excellent. Had the smoked whitefish and deviled eggs for starters. Both were excellent. The table had a cross section of foods: the trout, salmon and steak pot pie. All were excellent. "The best salmon I ever had" was one of the comments. The only slight misstep was that the order was for chicken pot pie and we received steak pot pie. Our waitress noticed and offered to replace it. She couldn't pry the steak off the table it was so good! Highly recommend it. Make sure you get reservations.“

“Food is tasty, albeit a bit pricy (it is inside a casino after all). Ordered Philly Steak, came out very hot - bread soft - juicy steak - hot, crispy fries. No complaints there. Only thing, the wait in line was long for the amount of tables occupied - the cashier really needed the 2nd register open sooner to clear the line (which was still visible an hour later).“

“We went on the all you can eat crab leg night. I enjoyed all the food, but it is pricey. Also large groups pay a 20% tip upfront even though its a buffet. Getting dishes cleared off and refills was slow. Had to move the plates myself. But the food was always available. In the middle of casino, no nice views. Free parking is good. This is a good place if you are very hungry and can eat a lot. If you aren't and can't, its not worth the price.
Kid-friendliness: Kids are very expensive here. Check the price in advance.“

“I tried a flight of beer here, but I had to pass on the food. Prices were a bit too high for my tastes at the time. The beer was kind of a mix in quality, but mostly good. The spiced porter I tried was excellent as was the saison. Those two beers were my favorites of the bunch, and the rest weren’t bad, but just a little watery. This was my third time visiting Ghost Isle. It has always been a good looking place, but the beer has been hit or miss for me.“
