The Beacon Lounge definitely has the best views of downtown Traverse City. The lounge itself is a bit small, but it’s quite pleasant and is nice for conversation. The drink list is pretty extensive, and I enjoyed the two cocktails I ordered. I was a bit distracted by an occasional light flicker which I hope they get rid of quickly, but the place has a nice relaxed atmosphere and a great view. Beacon Lounge is a small bar with a few tables and about 6 or 8 bar stools, offering a gorgeous panoramic sunset view over Traverse City. The atmosphere is intimate and a bit older, but it has potential for improvement. The restaurant serves small plates during the summer season, including tapas like margarita pizza, white fish dip, firecracker shrimp, wings, fried potato nachos, and a potato pizza. The bartenders, including Cody and Josh, are incredible and personable, going above and beyond to ensure a great experience. The view is stunning, especially at sunset, and the live music on weekends adds to the lively ambiance. Prices are around $13-$16 for drinks, and while the cocktail menu may not be overly creative, the staff is eager to please. Overall, Beacon Lounge is worth a visit for its amazing views and atmosphere, with room for improvement in terms of ambiance and staff attention to detail.
